Port Vale site says 269 visiting fans. So that's 5175 home fans! Post says today that Campbell is on his way but is not keen to go. Can we do any worse than grab the moment? As I understand it Buckle is on a one year contract......so no huge long term financial commitment. Put Campbell in charge (non playing) with Gill as player coach - I was impressed by his post-match interview.
Dont want Campbell Pirate, we need a bloke with experience and the know how to win games. Im afraid Campbell hasn't won many games as a player or manager, and doesnt have the know how. We should be in the top 3, regardless of what Buckle says about expectations, and I wont be happy until we are at least working in the top 7 of the league.
I agree with you Chris, but I think that Buckle has nearly bankrupted us, so I don't think we could afford to bring a new manager in. I think we're still paying Dave Penney. I'm adamant that this fellow has to go, and the best fit answer with finance in mind is Campbell. Not ideal......but I want Buckle out NOW!

Pirate, I actually do wonder how Penney would have done if he had the option Buckle had of sorting his own side out from scratch. Going by his signings last season, I reckon he would have done well. Seeing as we are still paying him still, might as well get him back in now!
