Baxter goes straight back in, Coyle does in 433, Elder does on the balance. Eaves does, would have williams over Longman currently. Get your point but a core of that side have just played 70+ minutes 3 times in 7 days. Some of them haven’t had a rest in donkeys.

Some of the non injured who perhaps deserve to be dropped cant be because of the number of injuries.

Barnsley didn’t play 3 times in 7 days then??
Elder does??? **** me I’ve heard nothing but how brilliant Fleming is on here
    Now he’s second choice??

fatigue is a piss poor excuse for a rank display and a manager who displayed no nous in how to change it
We’ve been here before with our previous manager who refused to alter his “belief” in how his team should line up and play.
    This one’s doing the same

We currently have problems all over the pitch; a toxic storm of injuries, poor form, naive management and ill-judged recruitment.

It's obviously a cliche but the biggest issue to me is that we don't score enough goals or, indeed, look like scoring.

KLP's shocking finish on Tuesday is still playing on a loop in my head. Put that in and it's a totally different game.

After that we barely looked like scoring.

Forss may be the answer to something but not the question 'Who can score regularly for City in the next 2 months, given the way we play?'

Yes, he looked a different player when reacting to a loose ball when scoring against QPR but that aside I'm struggling to think of a less effective striker for us in recent times.

I don't think that Huddlestone is the answer to all our woes but 60 minutes from the start or the last half hour has to be worth considering.

You said there’s a better left back at the club. I’m going off what you said.

I’m not disagreeing with you at all by the way about altering it have said that he should change back. Just think in a game like Tuesday you go for experience because as a lot of them showed they completely bottled the occasion. We’ve been defensively solid against top sides and that all seemed to be forgotten when we had more of the ball. Probably because our players lose it in such **** positions we are out of shape so they can cut us open easily. Slater for the first goal for example.

Was a carbon copy of the one he scored at Swansea too that’s what makes it so frustrating looking back.

Fleming was a revelation when he was introduced. Seems to have been figured out in a 4. Elder is my first choice in a 4, Fleming as a wing back. As I think they’re both better then each other at the opposite things.

What about Elder at full back , Fleming as a wide man also covering Elder and KLP plates where he should alongside the other forward. Flemings quick got good feet likes a tackle and can go past players

I'm not convinced we get as much out of KLP as a central forward as we do out wide personally.

That said, since Longman signed permanently he's been under par so would have no problem with KLP swapping sides and replacing Longman with Fleming.

Our problem is NOT in the goalkeeping department JEX.... be it Baxter, Ingram or Cartwright.... its what's happening immediately in front of them, the cause of which is whats happening immediately in front of them, or rather what is NOT happening immediately in front of them. It reminds me of Hans Brinker who saved the town by putting his finger in the dike.. he didn't wait for permission to do it, he just did it because he could see it was a problem. Our midfield and others and lack of leadership is the root cause of all our current problems. No one is taking responsibility and coming out after a game and saying 'its not good enough' is an insult to the fans.

And BTW re tiredness... Barnsley played 1 extra game in the same period. Complacency beat us on Tuesday... when you look at it in the cold light of day, since we neat them 2-0 away, in 15 games they have been tonked twice... 3-0 v Forest and 4-1 by Fulham. In the other 12 games they have lost by the odd goal and drew one 0-0.

And yet when I put my finger in a dyke without permission I'm arrested.

    Double standards.

You don't happen to know Hans Brinker's lawyer do you?

Can't be bothered to go through the full thread.

Just about the bogs near E3 I've seen them bad but against Barnsley it was like a ****ing padding pool, ****ing discussing.
