I still don’t know what our game plan / style of play is …… The Turks did well under Pivac by playing attractive free scoring rugby, underpinned by a big but mobile number 6 and an out and out jackal at open side.
Quite a tense finish but a well deserved win. I thought the back row had a good game and our scrum looked solid. As Taff said hopefully Josh Adams will be fit and he can go to left wing and LRZ to right. The centre selection may well be between Tomkins, Watkin, Jonathan Davies and Halaholo. Not sure Dan made the best call when he dropped the goal with Wales having the penalty advantage. I thought he would have spread it right and gone for the try and put more pressure on the Scots defence and maybe another yellow. Anyway it matters not has he got the three points and we won. Onto Twickenham we go.
My problem is i should just enjoy the win, I'm too critical. It just narks me when we underperform due to bad management. I lived through the lean years and still bear the scars
I remember being in Paris at the Parc des Princes in March 1991 when John Davies was lifted into orbit in the first scrum - we were stuffed in Serge Blanco’s final 5 Nations Match …. We lost 36-3 (probably not enough Neath players in the starting XV …. )
To be honest, the only way to effect real change in how the WRU operates, is for something similar to happen here ….
Looks like LRZ is released to play for Gloucester this weekend so it looks like the wings for Twickenham are Josh Adams and Cuthbert
It's rumoured that LRZ is going out with Emma Raducanu, that might explain why he seems to be a yard off last season's pace
