We could have stood shoulder to shoulder fighting them bro, trained by Comm as Piskie runs for his plane.
Comm wouldn't need us mate, he'd take 'em all on, on his own. Piskie will be on his bike... literally. He's been training for it on the hilltops of cornwall. He'd be in the Tora Bora's by nightfall
I think you're oversimplifying it tbh. If there was an organised resistance to the Taliban, then people might have joined them to fight. But as I mentioned, the people that were in place, i.e. the Afghan state just folded, because it was weak. And it was weak because it wasn't really a representative state for ordinary Afghans, it was being propped up by the US (until they left)
don't forget he's been training all his lifetime too living in the hills and finding out the best rock shelters. He'd hold out for a long time without getting spotted
Just imagine if we said and did nothing. They’d be protests galore. No one can win in life anymore… sit and do nothing, get told your ****… do something, get told your ****. To me we are doing the bare minimum which is how it should stay. Unless Russia decide to carry on.
Whilst the whole situation is certainly not something to laugh about, our and (NATOs) 'sanctions' response does remind me somewhat of The People's Front of Judea's reaction on hearing that Brian had been taken by the Romans ...
Could probably do a better job of stopping the flow of funny money in the City tbh. But **** sending one British serviceman anywhere near the Ukraine. And our message to the yanks on this one should be, sit down, shut up.
