Disagree now. It can not get worse. We are bottom of form guide. We are getting humped off anyone really. I see no way we go up or even safely stay in okay offs. We need massive change. These bluffers have seen this club off for another year. 5 bastard years in league one.
our defence had been suspect all season, especially to balls in from the wings whether in the air or on the ground our goalscoring was never a problem. i would have been looking at a couple of big, strong (and hopefully, fast) CB's...a couple of no nonsense division three lads who are not afraid to get their heads onto a ball and are not too easy to push off the ball, the 'plan' is all well and good and i still feel in time it will prove itself but right now we need out of this league, early season we almost had it right but once teams realised we could be scored against and actually began attacking with purpose, those defensive problems became massive. leaving the defense weaker from the point of view that there is no one to give the young lads a break or cover for injuries was mental at best, add to that, the lads they did get in have hardly had any time on the pitch (barring matete) and we have to really start asking questions of the recruitment team...and yes, i was singing their praises after the summer window but i now question their thinking.

I like that but for his own sake Doyle needs leaving out , maybe also play a back four and a conservative middle three with two wide men either side of Stewart . I'm not sure about starting Pritch either tbh in the next game although he is one of my favourite players. we will need to be stronger than to-night to give Power and Co a game.

Like you say, defence needed improving. We needed a quality defensive midfielder. That should have been part of the plan. I believe they got seduced by the nostalgic glow of signing Defoe and didn't think about the important bits until it was too late.
Spot on, the lack of pace in defence is frightening and has been glaringly obvious for a while now. This has a knock on effect with playing wing backs too as opposition can just target the flanks while our wing backs are up front, knowing fine well we won’t be able to catch a quick striker or overlapping winger.
Agree. Awful literally no one I know likes him. How he has left this squad and management of it all is simply indefensible. Resignation or firing only way.

It can get worse because what we need now is to group together and fight to get some form for the playoffs, anything extra that's toxic is only going to hurt a very fragile club. I feel more like putting my fist through the plasterboard than getting behind Sunderland right now but I still know it's the only thing that could save our season.
I won’t protest however if the season cards go up that’s me done. I’m already skint and this year will be tougher. I’ve been able to just about put up with the guarantee of watching utter dross, inept officials and cheating opponents. But I’m not paying more to watch it. The club are going to get a massive shock if (when) we don’t go up this season.
All incorrect. We have signed Matate , Hume, Cirken, Bath all for fees. Others fees with buying out deals. We have spend good money just because it says undisclosed doesn't mean it's free mate. Understand it or don't spout the same bull
