Walsh and Slater are probably better on the ball and better passers than Doc, Alfie, Smallwood and probably even Honeyman but they’d get murdered if you played them both as holding midfielders. Slater has a bit of bite in him but his aggressiveness doesn’t make him any bigger or stronger against bigger, stronger opposition.

 

Walsh showed he's not a holding mid against Derby and if we are forced to play him, I don't want him anywhere other than out wide.

I was meant to bringing my lad for his first ever City game. Quite pleased I got Covid and couldn’t make it. I’m not sure he should have had to endure me saying “can we go home now???” for 89 minutes!
