I can't figure out how we're so much better organised against the top teams.. is it because we don't worry about attacking? Bit of a concern that Shota can't set the team up to attack..

I know it’s not I made that point earlier just continuing with 4-3-3 without a fit right back is pointless and only harms us. Bernard is overrated enough as it is at centre back.

UNFAMILIAR??? We won the league playing it last season and have just picked up 2 points against top half teams playing it. The blame should be 100% on the players and selection tonight.

Selection is pretty much who's fit outside whether to bench Huddlestone, Cannon or Moncur.

We have no effective forwards because we have no creative midfield . We are physically weak , and some of our players are knackered and need a break, KLP, George particularly . We have been figured out in the last 4 games - attack down the wings , target Fleming and squeeze the space - we have no pace too. We can’t set up to attack - what with ?

The formation is fine. The whole debate bores me, it's certainly not why we lost the game.

One of the bigger issues is in midfield. Too many players who aren't good enough technically. I thought Walsh looked half decent when he came on, him alongside Slater on Saturday wouldn't be a bad idea. I was shocked big Tom didn't come on, it felt tailor made for him at HT

Reckon we'll be seeing Wilks before long. And I wouldn't be surprised if we never saw Allahyar again.

If he creates one chance per game I'd be delighted with that. It's not really his role but we needed somebody doing that regularly

Both Walsh and Slater in midfield? Why don’t we just play two of the Borrowers there and hope for the best?

Or for unlocking a defence that sits back. Once Barnsley were 2-0 up they just sat back and soaked up our passes. We made it easy for them because we couldn't unlock a thing, we just sprayed crosses or passes. Huddlestone at the base of the midfield to release KLP down the wing would have made far more sense. What did Docherty offer?

We haven’t had a decent full back since Robertson and Moses. Why we didn’t sign a couple in the transfer window I will never know.

We where utterly shambolic in that game. The manager is absolutely clueless an all. Bring Doherty on? What for he’s hardly gonna run the game or change it. Change the formation or something. He got both Preston and Derby totally wrong an all.
