I personally liked what I saw. I thought his positioning was a bit off at times and was caught out, but he made quite a few good interceptions/tackles and whipped in a beautiful ball that unfortunately fell to the shortest player in existence - Fraser header lol.

If he keeps performing like this, I'd sign his ass up. Villa fans said he was an awesome player until Graelish left but then lost favour.

    I rated him a 7.5

    A big improvement over Dummett.

Looked a bit nervous 1st half but got better and better and better.

    Very good debut.

Great debut. I've always liked the way he plays and only didn't like him because he went to Villa - but I won't hold that against him now.

He fits in well with the way Eddie likes his teams to play and along with Burn and Trippier will add some finesse and playing ability to the defence, rather than just a bunch of lumpers we've been used to.

I like him. Presses and doesn't wait for ball to bounce or player to get set or turned. Got stuck in, bit clumsy with a couple but I don't mind it. Quality on the ball a couple of times coming in from the left. Cross for Fraser was first class. Some good quality on his balls passed forward rather than hopeful punts which Dummett is prone to.

Yep good solid prem quality, experienced LB. Brings a better balance overall to the team. I think you can really see the benefit of being able to properly let ASM play in his correct position by having a more solid set up behind, wood in the middle and an actual threat coming from the right hand side.

Solid debut. Reminds me a bit of Enrique.

I thought he defended well. Looks a reliable fellow and looked to join in with the team. Appeared to know our style. Very good debut.

I'd say he balances the defence nicely, reminds me of when we bought Routledge in the championship to play on the opposite wing as Jonas

Normally our players turn to ****e when they have been here years, so not sure whether that's a compliment or not.

Enrique was bang average to poor. He was bailed out every game due to the brilliance of Jonas

Tash, while it's nice to see you no longer have a username akin to what a 13 year old angsty teenage girl from Nebraska would use. I didn't expect your new one to be even more homosexual tbh.

On topic, I like Targett, good for what we need.

I would be really eager to sign him up if we still had Ashley, but I expect something a bit better next window tbh. If Targett was willing to come and be backup, I'd snap him up.

Villa have been absolutely gash under Gerrard tbh and if he plays well here, I don't think they're going to want to sell.
