Looking at Spurs, it further reinforces the argument that we need to work on the structure of the club first, then get a manager that can execute against a new vision for the club. When a team is structurally damaged as we are, it takes a while to weed out the damaged parts and rebuild. In another gossip news, I read that Poch would like us to sign Kane if he’s to take over in the summer with fee being quoted at £130m. I really hope that those days of wasteful spending is in the past with Woodward gone. We need to get back to basics of finding quality players that are hungry and be more creative to effectively stop chasing shadows of the so-called mega stars.
Ronaldo will jump ship (another debate - for me he's been a big part of the problem), Cavani will leave at the end of the Season and the Greenwood issue is unlikely to be resolved anytime soon, so we will need to shell out on a striker, so why not Kane regardless of the manager. Our slim chances of signing Haaland left when Ole went and there seems to be a real glut of decent strikers so we will have to pay top dollar anyway..

No, not really. He not really selling himself at Spurs is he? And that appears to be down to the fact that the Spurs players aren't good enough. So, what would he do with our lot? I guess if the Glazers gave him carte blanche to buy and sell whoever he wants then it could be the right choice.
The clearout needs to happen anyway, whoever the new manager is. It's very apparent that there are a handful of players not prepared to toe the line, they have to go. Pogba has to be first out the door sharpish. And before anyone pipes up with 'now it's all the players, when Ole was manager it was down to him', I'd like to point out that Ole's job as manager is to deal with this sort of stuff, not just accept it. He had three years to deal with it, and he actually bought some of the problems, so this does not suddenly make him innocent in all this, at all. Sorry for bringing him up again, but I'm preempting that response.
Allegedly, it is now down to Poch and ten Haag if we are to believe the rumour mills. I’d be okay with either choice with a slight bias toward ten Haag because I believe that he has an effective system and extremely resourceful with youth system which I don’t think I could necessarily say for Poch. However, Poch’s experience dealing with egos like Neymar and Messi will bold well for him over ten Haag to get going with United’s ego. But then again, I think ten Haag is a kind of bald-headed bastard that would take no sht from egotistical players. Overall, I would be happy with either choice if that’s what it comes to.
Well it seems Poch is off to Real Madrid so we won't be going for him. I think this also suggests that talks have been held behind the scenes and the club already know who they're getting and some sort of informal agreement has been reached. Looking like Ten Hag imo.
I was a big Poch fan, and I'm sure his spell with PSG and dealing with the preening stars there will have added to his experience, but I think our next manager needs to be a tough bastard - and that isn't Poch's style. We've had arms around the shoulders and it didn't work, so someone who has the backing from upstairs to be able to tell anyone in the dressing room - work hard or **** off ought to be our man. Ten Hag is unproven in the PL but he seems to have that hard streak about him.
If Poch is being given an option between United and Real, he would be foolish to choose Real, in my opinion. He could be out of the job within a year at that place. With United, he would be given more time to prove himself.
Poch actually reminds me of Ole. However, it is said that Poch is not such a panhandler. I don’t know what to believe there. But I’m certainly more skewed toward ten Haag.
