It's a good feeling isn't it. Warning there will be some envy and hostility.

Regard these interlopers as a league "freak result"
one week. Mere temporary distractions from where
    the real battle is.

Just one of the rearranged matches where we get to play a stronger team than the one that would have appeared on the original date.

There's a more obvious one coming up!

Incidentally, if we fail to get CL by 2 pts because we don't beat Arsenal in the rearranged fixture, can we add it to our ever lengthening lists of being ****ed over for the CL (going with 1. lasganagate and 2. the only team to have a 4th place but lose it to a team below that wins the CL). I would suggest that the cowardly decision to postpone that fixture which had very little to do with covid should go on that list. I really hope I don't have to mention this again!

Except we are as capable of losing to a weakened team as we are of beating their first team.

I see no reason to change the team for tonight, same 11 as Saturday for me.

Obviously this will be a very different match, with Burnley likely to defend a lot deeper than City did and us expecting to have a lot of the ball and the be team that plays on the front foot. These tend to be the matches that we struggle in and I don't see that changing tonight. Despite my bold prediction in Spurfs league this is likely to be decided by a single goal and based on recent results it could go either way. Having scored at both ends of the game on Saturday another early goal tonight would be most welcome as we need to get on a run now if we are to have any say in the race for Europe.

Graham Scott is the ref tonight another of those who is something of curates egg of a ref, he is the only ref that I can recall going to the screen and not over-turning his original decision and as was bound to the case that decision went against us. He has only refereed 8 matches in the prem this season, so maybe a little out of favour with his bosses, so we can expect a flurry of cards tonight as tries to make his mark!

I really despise this mindset, and sadly I suspect
it may also exist within the on-pitch personnel too. :(

The Goons play Wolves tomorrow (so one/both are dropping pts) .
Spurs have no UEFA grief, so each of our games in
hand on Man Utd and the Spanners will probably be
matched by them having to play one more game in total.

Both the strength of side that can be fielded, and the
motivation to win this game, is already laid out
(for a team that really wants to finish in the top 4) .

Lineup was posted and then deleted. Odd.
    No Gollini. Also odd.

I don’t think Conte said anything about Gollo in the press conference yesterday so presumably it’s a new thing. Reggie on the bench is good though.

Scarlett now replaces White on the bench, in a late move that sounds like something out of a game of Cluedo

Come to think of it, can anyone remember the last time he was given prominence on our social media?

After he arrived he was popping up on our Twitter and Instagram reasonably regularly, but I legit can;t remember the last time I saw him other than in the background of a training photo
