The Chairboys welcome the Tics to Adams Park. We take on the joint promotion favourites while we are on the back of a five game winless run, most of which of our own making which needs to change very quickly; but the problem is we are not picking our strongest team and we don't have a good record against the Tics. Gaz has a dilemma on his hands, does he bring Stewart back into the team and Taf back into the squad, eating some humble pie along the way and showing he is the bigger man for the sake of our season or is he bigger than the club ! At least we have Scowen back. I will be at this one along with Blue Soldier but if we defend as we did on Saturday I don't know how long I will be staying. I'm not one who slags off our players or manager but I may not be in the ground come the final whistle
Until we know the facts about any fall out (if there was one) we can't really point any fingers. It could be that Stewart and/or Taffy think they are bigger than the club and it is they who, have jeopardised our promotion hopes. However, given that Stewart was on the bench on Saturday, he should have been put on once we were 5-3 up. It will be interesting to see the line up. But, if it is the same as Saturday, there is little point going. If Cheltenham can bang in 5, **** knows how many Wigan could get
According to SportsMole "Wycombe Wanderers head into Tuesday's game with a clean bill of health and no suspension concerns, giving Ainsworth the luxury of a full-strength squad at his disposal." "Wycombe Wanderers possible starting lineup: Stockdale; Grimmer, Forino-Joseph, Jacobson; McCarthy, Horgan, Thompson, Obita; Kaikai, Vokes, Hanlan" What does he know?
No Stewart, no Taffy, no McLeary, no Mehmeti. If they are available should they not be starting against Wigan If that is the line-up we are in serious trouble and will drop out of play-off contention. We are already in free fall, 3 points from 15
If Stewart and Taf don't start tonight Rob Couhig needs to b*llock Ainsworth as his stubborness could well cost us promotion this season and would leave us in a poorer financial position.
Not a bad line up, easily look more solid at the back. McCarthy continually on the bench is a weird one and Kaikai over McCleasy is baffling.
A last minute change to the Chairboys line-up as Ryan Tafazolli picks up a knock in the warm-up. Chris Forino now starts and Joe Jacobson makes the bench.
