Not really that surprising.. War is part of humanity and life. The younger generations just think it all just went away.
Unfortunately nuclear weapons already exist, so they've already watched them invent them. It's not our problem let's Ukraine and Russia get on with it.. This country would be destroyed with 1 bomb. Are you going to go over there and fight?
That assumes that the only actions available are military ones, that the only ones doing evil are Russian and the only victims are Ukranian.

I disagree with every part of that sentence. It is our problem because they won't settle it and it will only be the next step in destabilising the situation which will result in it being far from ended.

I do think there is something imminent going to happen like. This is the closest we have come to an actual physical event of world war proportions. This may destabilise the world of politics.

I don't believe this will result in a world war. The west has no appetite for a new armed conflict that we are physically involved in. It will have many destabilising effects, primarily on ordinary people.
You don't need to 'get over there' to speak out against it, and 'help fight' is an oxymoron in this case as it would almost certainly be a hinderance rather than a help.
So reading the above, it seems to me this is all Nev's fault/problem. FFS Nev pull your finger out and get it sorted man.
