Yep happens all too often especially on social media. Even on supposedly business type sites; you get hooked by a nice story - don’t read the comments. Fallen for it for a few times & now refuse to read past the initial post. Can be absolutely devastating.
A huge number of stories on the internet are fake though. I’m always skeptical, and am a little bit with this one too. I’m not sad enough to actually tweet about it though haha.
The most convincing part of it is that he starts right off by saying his mom is poor. That’s a child’s subtlety right there. I don’t think someone faking it would be so, er, clever.
