the one that looked two footed from behind but was actually one footed and got the ball but the ref still blew it up. they lad put a shift in for us.
I think we made around 7 changes so we should have expected a disjointed performance. Thankfully, Klopp made some great subs and changed the shape from a 433 to a 424 - which is what I would love for us to do more often against the lesser teams - don't need to have 3 midfielders. Thiago was simply majestic ...
We rest a lot of players including the full backs, Fab, Thiago etc. Which is really good management from Klopp - with games coming thick and fast, we need to find every opportunity to give players a rest. Kostas for Robbo was minimal however Gomez for Trent is a big drop - Gomez is a really defender but the RB role just isn't suited to him. The midfield trio of Hendo Naby and Ox just wasn't working - it was too flat and one paced. Naby tried to make things happen but there was no connection - which is understandable because Kostas and Diaz is a completely new left side. Hendo did well to retain the ball but not much else. Ox did try but I think he was quite poor. I do like Ox and I think has put in some good performances this season but the Norwich game was a bad day in the office. But the game changer was Thiago - beautiful footballer. Plus Klopp switched to 424. And you're right about Hendo - he was really good and showed good leadership and ability ... from 60 mins onwards once Thiago came on. Let's see if he can do it for a full 90
Also credit to Origi - he was able to occupy the centre backs which created more space for the other 3 attackers. Really good decisions by Klopp recently - having squad depth has really helped
Agreed. We did more than enough to take the lead in the first half but the performance still lacked some fluidity. All change once we Thiago came on though.
