"The hosting of Leicester City has been put back to Monday 23rd January 2012 for live television coverage. The match was originally scheduled to take place at St. Mary's on Saturday 21st January, but will now be screened live on Sky Sports at 7.45pm on Monday 23rd. Saints will be looking to get one over on the Foxes who recorded a 3-2 win when the two teams met in August at the King Power Stadium. This will be the fifth televised Saints match of the season and follows on from December's screenings of Blackpool at home and Portsmouth away." http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2494826,00.html?utm_source=Twitter Difference in coverage is very noticeable this year.
Does this season set a new record for the number of televised games for Saints? I can't recall the last time we had so many.
Sky have wrecked my plans yet again, moved it to a day when I am on late shift, means I have to use a precious Annual Leave Day, assuming that someone can cover my turn, very annoying.
Leicester may start to do better under a new manager, so this could be an important game for us if we've maintained our present form. Love the attention we're getting in the Championship.
Getting a little fed up with Sky moving the games all the time .......saturday afternoons 3pm is when football should be played!
Think of the additional revenue these matches are generating from our good friends at Sky - help fund a few quality players in January!
this wont be the last time we're on TV, BBC will probs want to show Saints in 2012 if we are still top or there abouts
It was in the last century, but we've moved on a bit since then. I love football any day of the week.
Why are we moaning about a match being on Sky?? It's extra revenue for the club and another chance for some recognition. We can also safely say, the Sky TV curse has well and truly been lifted after the Leeds match on the first day of the season anyway. I welcome TV games, the more the merrier. I'm sure The Don enjoys them aswell...
