Ah, I finally get it. Reading the laws of the game of Pep-ball, rule 1 states : The opposition is NEVER allowed to have possession of the ball.
I don't see the point of having a player like Kane in a side that plays tika taka. You would only see half of his skills.
"In the first half they have the goal and no more. In the second half they have one attack with Harry Kane at the start and they score." Once again... GET ****ED YOU BALD FRAUD COYS
How good was it to see our 2 new signings acquit themselves so well yesterday? There will be a settling in period whilst they adjust to the intensity of the PL, their team mates and what Conte wants them to do...but...they looked like they actually belonged alongside our better players. They looked fit, technically accomplished and up for the fight. Additionally, we know that Conte rates them and wanted them Those things really shouldn't be all that much to ask for...but after some dreadful and poorly suited signings in the last few years, right now, they seem like a big deal. Decent recruitment, to significantly improve this team and squad, need not cost the earth. but we have got to stop wasting money on wild punts, players in the wrong positions, that the coach doesn't want and those who don't have the right mentality. One can only hope that the Paratici/Conte partnership are able to give us more of the same in the summer. The hope is growing.
What I also loved was that instead of settling for a draw, we had 3 supporting Kulus break at the end - and I think Doherty was one of them! (Kane & Lucas to others). That showed real ambition!
Conte's said that the group is a really good one and that the players want to give their all for him. To be fair, most of them did for Mourinho, too. Even when we were chucking away leads late in games under that twat, the players always tried to regain the lead.
I hope it's not delusion but I feel that game has highlighted that we are getting back to something like Poch's time with us when the team and manager were very close. A mutual admiration society will produce results.
As Pep said we are a kick it and hope team , we've done them so many times playing the same tactics according to him but has he learnt, has he f**k and long may it last
Give me some of the worlds best players and I will teach them to play basket ball with their feet. OK! and for your next trick? Oh! you only have one! Certainly no genius, that's for sure.
I couldn't agree more. After 2 demoralising defeats, we looked like a collective unit yesterday. The players put it in for the coach...AND each other. I saw that Romero thanked Kane for making the penalty an irrelevance. Kane played and celebrated like he really cared. Everyone dug in and gave what they had. If Conte's backed in the summer, fans will start to really believe and hope again...and that's when we'll start to get some real momentum back.
Not sure if this has been posted else where but it would be nice if Peter Drury commentated on our games more often
