I was sitting with the West ham fans (soz) and my mate reckons that's just what they do for him, even before the cat. It's a ZOOOU rather than a boooo

I feel a bit sorry for Wood - he won quite a few balls in the air yesterday and the rest of the team just watch them drift through to their sweeper. Think we will see better from him when he has someone like Wilson playing on his shoulder.

The fans have the right to make it known how they feel about his actions. It's not like they were booing him for playing badly. If West Ham thought the booing was going to affect the team they could just drop, or better still suspend Zouma until it blows over.

In fact I think it would be better if the Premier league had a rule that any player being investigated for criminal action be suspended until the matter is resolved by either charges being filed or the matter dropped.

What gets me about the whole incident is the mentality of someone in his household thinking it was appropriate to post it on the internet. It lloked like nobody there actually thought there was anything particularly wrong with his actions.

Probably Fraser is his best bet. He’s smaller and not as heavy as Wilson.

In most situations I disagree, because it violates the principle of innocent until proven guilty, but in this case he's obviously guilty due to the video evidence.

If you're under criminal investigation and proven not guilty but you were suspended 3 months that means you were punished for something you may not have done.

People should be treat the exact same as everyone else until proven guilty.

    T

Another example would be Johnson of Mackemland where Sunderland knew or should have known he was guilty from what he is said to have told them. Any decent Club would have then suspended him at least.

**** that. You’d go 4-4-2 just to keep Wood in the team?! Mental.

You can suspend them on full pay - its what happens in most companies.

It stops the issue impacting on other employees and the performance of your business.

I can’t believe that Howe paid 25million to have Wood as an understudy to Wilson. This obsession with formations is a bit tedious. If the players are up for it and trust the coach they will line-up however you want them to.

    Do you really think that:
    2 strikers
St Maximin behind in a free role
    Willock, shelvey, joelinton in midfield
    Then a back 4
would be significantly different to what we are playing?

It is absolutely incredible isn’t it. And I think we are seeing the fruits of the initial change in energy and training levels.

Early doors we suffered a bit (when Howe came in) because he was trying to unravel the mess that previous managers had installed into the players. It took time.

But man are we seeing the benefits of that. The players all look well drilled. Fitter. Happier.

We have been unlucky with injuries mind and I don’t think any are linked to the press thing. Just unfortunate.

Howe should get manager of the month. Unbeaten in six is no mean feet and has to be applauded.

Everyone seems to be working in the right direction and it’s ****ing brilliant.

At the same time as the dirty neighbours are in free fall…

Imagine that 3 man midfield. Full of energy and different styles. Willock Joe and Bruno.

Joe could even get a call up to the Brazil squad at this rate. He is unstoppable atm.

I do mate yes. We have more control in games because we have the 5 midfielders that are required these days.

We don’t have the players to play 4-4-2. Our wingers don’t/can’t cross the ball and it would expose our midfield numbers.

Its working at present so I don’t see any reason to change.

I was harsh on Wood yesterday but he did win a lot of balls and he is a good target man. I appreciate that he was isolated a lot mind and thus can see the appeal for the 4-4-2.

I think Wood will definitely improve for having another striker alongside him. Personally I like our personnel in this formation and I'd swap him out for Wilson. That's the way I would go. I think having three across the centre of the park and relying on movement is one of the main reasons for our improvement.

Wilson will have to match his work ethic but Wilson is a pressing forward anyway. You will lose the out ball up to Wood and battering of centre backs, so there are pros and cons to all formations and personnel. I just think Wilson brings goals. I thought Wood was down from his previous level yesterday. But to be honest after hearing about him meowing at Zouma, I can forgive just about anything - legend.

I'll be honest, I believe Wilson has been more like a poacher this season, scores a goal here and there and not an awful lot else.

Yeah I think he suffered like everyone. Very different side and mood about the place for his return. I think we will see him back to the pressing and physical forward we know he can be. And he will always poach goals.
