Donald inherited the family firm. Methven used the "contacts" he made at Oxbridge to get where he is (a la Cameron, Osborne, Bonko et al). Neither of them have built a business from scratch such as Tom Cowie or Bob Murray through hard work and talent. They are parasites who are now preying on SAFC as the host.

Let's not rewrite history mind. The fact is only real difference between Cowie, Murray and the Maddox lot is a more acceptable accent.

The blank looks all round at managerial level we saw on STID indicated the problem was bigger than just those two. We've been amateurs in a professional world for decades now.

Agree it was terrible for defensive recruitment but we had arby on the bench, about time he was given a game, can't do much worse. Or playing hume or cirkin there, natural defenders so better options than shoehorning Winchester there like dodds did.

Cirkin is struggling big time and needs a rest, can’t just shoehorn him into LCB. Our recruitment was an absolute joke. Players brung in who weren’t ready to play and defenders let go (Flanagan, Younger and Hume) without proper replacements.

Shocking, even worse when Neil comes out and says the players were doing the complete opposite to what they were told all week and to not play through the middle.

Agreed. Doesn't say a lot for the intelligence of our players if they can't follow the managers game plan.

He is struggling, just an someone who could be an option to play 3 CB. Still can't believe we let Flanagan go without a replacement signed. And then to say it was in the players interest because he only had 6 months of his contract left. Surely Sunderlands interest come 1st and you do what is best for the club.

    Exactly, it’s absolutely pathetic.

I do rate Cirkin and Doyle and believe they’ll have good careers but they’ve had to play almost every game, they’re clearly goosed now. I can’t see how we turn this around, our season is done as far as I can see. Shambles.

Agreed. I don’t get this caring for players by letting them leave. Makes no sense when, as you say, it is detrimental to the club

    That’s exactly my point
In the future how could we buy players for 10/20/30/million + when KLD is the only one with money

I haven't got a clue how it all works behind the scenes. Id hope KLD could put the squeeze on them but I have no idea how it works in reality.

Completely agree, first full season obvious they would have a dip in form & need pulling out at some point, the reason you need 2 players all positions, selling flan or letting younger go if you were selling flan is naive.

Know D humes not for everyone but he was an option to give cirkin a rest.....even more bizarre letting him go now we hear huggins out for season.

not sure how FFP works in L1, sure its not the same as Championship, think Grumpy (might have been someone else) one explained as in what we do now could effect FFP in the Championship......altough fxck all is likely to effect the Championship for us at the moment!!

Needs sorting quick, anither poor performance & result against Burton & its a big uphill task to sort our confidence & style out fir a playoff challenge.....praying we can limp this over the line & reassess in the summer, not giving up until its done, Neil has just started & clearly not happy they have not listened

Top and bottom of it is Donald, Methven and Sartori own 59% of the club. If KLD wants to spend money to progress the club the Oxford spiv "leadership group" should contribute their share of that expenditure, as they would stand to profit from any gains made by that outlay. Oxford spivs do not have the money to do that so it is an impasse and KLD quite rightly is not going to spend his own money to potentially line the spivs pockets further down the line. They are holding the club back simple as.

I think the membership of your club is growing mate. I am not sure we could have done it yesterday with our personnel but when you watch how exposed we were for the two goals it was frightening.

I would prefer we coached and stuck to a 433, with one of the base three becoming an number 10 when we are on the ball in their half. However, once Baath is fit I wouldnt be against 3 at the back. The only issue is that Doyle needs a breather I think. We need to try something mate because at the minute I reckon any team will just hit us on the break, right through the middle.
