Leeds are the next visitors and they are a shadow of last years team partially down to injuries but also there has to be an element of the second season syndrome that affects many recently promoted teams . Having rotated so much on Saturday i assume most of those who were fit but not picked will be for this one and may see Origi start if still any worries regarding Firminos fitness ..

ir used to be that you couldn't schedule top division matches at the same time . possibly changed now they are splitting the CL games up into following weeks or because of Covid

 

The last 16 being over a month predates covid. Its to let the **** teams in thebeuropa like barca play round of 32 and the side that beats them okay that last 16.

Both then synchronise for qf onwards.

It is in the end very annoying and there's no reason why imo that if tv rights companies don't show the game. That lfc TV couldn't bar stupid contracts.

Leeds lost 3-0 to Everton! Drew 3-3 with villa with villa having man sent off and lost 0-1 to newcastle but they beat west ham.

It's anyone's guess what they do but the 0-7 v city and 1-4 v arsenal suggest that they struggle v quality.

They won't give up though so we need to be professional
