Khan’s legs were gone in Round One. He couldn’t land anything meaningful after that, so it was just a matter of time, wasn’t it? The concentration in Brook’s eyes throughout made compelling viewing - the unblinking predator look. Brook’s a good honest lad, and his post-fight interview where he revealed all the dirty tricks by the Khan team (including insisting he change gloves just before the fight or he wouldn’t get paid, banging on his hotel door at 3 a.m. to mess up his sleep, etc.) meant I enjoyed the victory even more.
It’s over for Khan now. Quick hands, sure, but a glass chin. And who would pay to see him fight anybody?

*Was* - has lived in Scotland since she was a kid. She took up curling here, introduced to it by her father, who is also a medal-winning curler.

    She's ours now. ;)

    Tragic and so sudden.

    Only 52 as you say.

A legend of the game and sport - still greatly involved and loved too.

Was only tweeting about the sad passing of Rod Marsh a few hours ago.

There's some sort of conspiracy afoot I think - Rodney Marsh (he of cricketing & beer drinking fame, not the footballer) has died today too.

I think it was Warne who died in Thailand - Marsh died in Adelaide.

And yes, Marsh liked to party - and drink beer. When I flew over here for the FA Cup match against Wet Spam in 1977/78, I decided to have a crack at his record of 44 cans on a flight between Melbourne and London. Failed miserably though - only manage around 10 before I fell asleep & had to be woken up to get off the plane at Singapore for a three hour wait. I held him in awe for a decade until David Boon shattered his record.
