All I hope for now is an improvement under him. Maybe a slim chance in the playoffs. And if not it gives him time for next season to get it right.
Get your big boy pants on! Things will get better under this guy. I’m convinced of that. I think we’ll make the playoffs and then see.
Yeah I'm pìssed off atm but I do have hope in AN . It's worse since we were heading in the right direction then all of a sudden turned to shìt. It's like the team is built on sand (the model) And stop saying "guy" ffs
Picking up on it? He literally said he told the players not to try going through the centre but they hadn't listened - he wanted our midfield to pass it across the field to draw out the defence then hit them down the wings.
My problem with today was even after the inevitable returning hero goal by Connor Wickham we had 12 mins of normal time and probably 5 of extra time to go. Defoe should’ve been on. If he’s not fit f.ck him off, but he must be as he’s on the bench. He’s on the bench so we should’ve gone 3 at the back 5 in midfield and 2 up front and gone for it. Get a spark. Anything. We bring Robert’s on in a like-for-like move when it’s not working. Why repeat what doesn’t work?Good news is Mette (however it is spelt) looks like a player. Let’s start from there and go again.
I'm hopelessly optimistic when it comes to footy, sunderland in particular, but not exclusively, I expect England to win the world Cup every time too! The sunderland well is completely and totally empty, right now. I can't blame Neil, obviously, he's literally just arrived, but if I was rich enough to own sunderland my first question to prospective new managers, this time, would have been, "do you plan on playing 4 at the back, cos it doesn't work and we don't have the time to change that at this stage of the season".
I'm not bothering watching the Managers interviews etc so I don't know what the crack is. These aren't his players, he needs to see them play and see who he trusts. All of the players are on trail. I'm sure players like Clark will start, Donkey D'Jacket will be dropped. Too much inexperience in the team. Matete is the only highlight of the day, he will cause bother in that leauge and can be forgiven for losing the ball today leading to Wickhams goal.
The starting eleven was made up of 6 under 21 player, goalie, 2 on the left of defence, 2 in midfield, one on the wide right. That for me is an issue, my mind is not made up about Patterson as he may come good with coaching but we need a spine made up of an experienced keeper,a ball winner in mid field and a very good striker. As it stands we have one element of that jigsaw, Stewart. Metete and Patterson or Hoffmann are work in progress. Next problem for me is most of our transfer business is about moving on those youngster for profit following the Maddox business model. BTW, the bench had Hoffmann, Embleton, the Balkan, and Hume on the bench and the are eligible for under 23's 10 player out of a squad of 18. There is the problem for me. Unsure how old Clarke is as he may qualify. Speakman finds them, Maddox sells them on, they need to be kick out of our club
Shouldn’t have. In 1972 -1973 season Stokoe was brought in to save us from relegation. We went all the way to Wembley and finished 6th.
I’d love to go and watch them in training to understand why certain players get picked week in week out! Embelton, Clarke, Defoe, Hume, Roberts, Xhemajli must look absolute dog **** Evans must look like Pirlo. Winchester must be like Cafu. Dajaku must be like Ronaldo. Matete looks a good player but it won’t be long till we bring him down to our level!
Funny feeling I had today in the sol. I'll probably be wrong like. I think I spunked away my one prediction when I said Wigan would go up automatically and was shot down. Time will tell.
