1-1 HT. A decent half, apart from one massive error.

Some wanted him given a long contract, don’t want to say I told you so but he’s making big big mistakes repeatedly and now he’s tied down for another two years.

Good first half. Need to keep the concentration levels up and keep mistake free, we can’t be giving the ball away easily because we don’t have it very often.

That threat down the left is good to exploit because Walker likes to come so central when City have the ball for a while. If the defence can keep on breaking the lines and get the ball to Kane then we can exploit that pivot.

The pressure from City is remorseless but we are seeing some good stuff from Romero and Kulesevski as well as Kane,

Ironically he’s been better this season than he has been for a while, but some mistakes have been creeping in the last few games.

    This is not sustainable,
You cannot even counter-attack when nearly all the team is in their own third.

I would rather keep Kane and Son near the
halfway line and give their MF something to think
about, then this rinse and repeat pressure.

Considering it’s Man City at home, we are doing well. Loved the sliding tackle by Bent!

With the 2 in midfield we need Son and Kulu to drop in and cover spaces unfortunately. Drop Skipp into a midfield 3 with Højbjerg and Bentancur and you might be able to leave Son up with Kane and give them more to think about.

If Sessegnon goes down from that Walker push, then he gets a free-kick.
It's happened to him a few times in that half. A bit naive.

Only saw last 25 minutes but it wasn't awful and with City pressing so high we had a few chances to break.
Hugo's **** up was sadly predictable, but for me the most worrying thing is the failure of the midfield - especially Hojbjerg - to close down properly. They could have had 2 or 3 before the equaliser.

Would love to be positive for the 2nd half but difficult to look beyond a creditable 2 or 3-1 defeat.

The only thing there is that Kulusevski's virtually man-marking Cancelo.
They're still getting quite a bit of joy out there, but giving him more space could be disastrous.

Sessegnon playing with absolutely no confidence, oh for a player with the confidence to run at their defence

Ref could have given it anyway once the advantage was quickly lost. It was a blatant foul.

Cancelo is a phenomenal footballer. He could probably play any outfield position on the pitch, apart from CB.

He’s always had the odd brainfart but I can only see him declining at his age. 2 year deal to me was ok but 1 year would have been better and next season he should have been used sparingly

Thought that was gonna be offside by how Kane had so much space. Brilliant from Sonny and Kane again!
