Diogo Jota: Liverpool forward will miss Norwich match with ankle injury https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60435049
Away at Anfield usually means terrible refereeing decisions against little upstart clubs like ours. Heart says 2-1 Norwich head says 5-0 Scousers
Came to post the same thing. At the moment he's a strong contender for the biggest flop we've ever signed. £10-11m makes him pretty much our record signing, and he's behind Placheta and Rowe in the pecking order right now? At least RvW started... Maybe he's injured, but that's not been revealed and it's not like it's that surprising that he isn't involved.
Liverpool lineup is interesting, no Jota, Firmino, Alexander-Arnold or Robertson. Not that it weakens them much, but hopefully they haven't taken us seriously and we can put in a performance to capitalise.
It's looking like another player badly handled, because he clearly has much more natural ability than many of the players preferred ahead of him.
Thanks, Bure. I will watch, of course, but to be honest I don't feel that enthusiastic about it. How has McLean performed better than Lees-Melou over the last few games so that he yet again keeps his place? And why does Rowe stay on the bench at the expense of Tzolis? Plus, of course, Cantwell was not brought back into the fold once Farke left. In some ways there seems little difference between Farke and Smith except the football is uglier.
Nothing like jumping to conclusions. Player joins squad, doesn't get played so must have been badly handled.
Obviously, I don't know what (if anything) is happening behind the scenes, but I don't think Farke publicly placing him on the naughty step was a shining example of how to treat a 19-year-old who was trying to adapt to living away from home in a foreign country. And Smith seems to have made no effort whatsoever to bring him on board (or working to keep Giannoulis on board either, come to that).
All one way at the moment, but still no goals. Liverpool look different class. Gunn looking more confident today.
