With Dickie suspended Dion Sanderson will get a start and that will give us some pace in the back three. I really hope Sam McCallum is fit to start at LWB and I know many will disagree but I want to see Hendrick start in midfield.

    Dieng
    Sanderson, Dunne, Barbet
    Odubajo, McCallum
    Field, Hendrick
    Willock, Chair
    Dykes

Would like to see Dieng, Sanderson, McCallum and Amos in.

    With Stefan and Odubajo benched.

Include Ball, Thomas and Armstrong on the bench.

    Shake it up indeed.

Many of our normally best players, the ones who have got us to 4th in the table and did so well in 2021 seem to have lost form since Reading at least. I think only Warburton and his coaches know why. I think we play worse when we have lots of games, worse than many of our opponents who have the same tough schedule. Perhaps this is because our squad isn't strong outside the 1st 11 or so, but also because our style of play requires us to be at our best. Teams playing a shorter simpler passing game once position is gained by playing long, are possibly more resilient when tired. In a training piece on the Official I didnt see Dozzell, Chair, Willock, Dykes, Gray, Dunne or much of Johansen. Hope they were just in another group not filmed and not fit enough.

I'd like to see him change formation to at least make us less predictable and to get Albert playing in a pure attacking role rather than WB, but expect the usual formation with these though it could be very different :

    Dieng
    Sanderson Dunne Barbet
    Albert Field Hendrick Odebajo
    Amos Willock
    Austin

McCallum who looked knackered after the training, Johansen, Chair, Dykes, Marshall, Gray, Kakay and Ball on the Bench.

Warbs said on the podcast during the week that he ideally needs another run out with the U23s

Watch him start Willock at left back ! I'll lose my **** if he does. I'm dreading looking at that team sheet and seeing zero energy in midfield again

That would be my 11 except maybe start McCallum on the left and hope he gets through 60 mins and we're ahead by then

You can guarantee that Warbs will lean too heavily on the sports science and be over cautious.

    That would do for me.
Give Amos a chance to prove he should start more.

In a game we really must win today, at home....if Warbs plays our best, most creative attacking player out of position, I will seriously start questioning his mental ability!
