When I was eight I had meningitis, a really serious illness that was 100% deadly before antibiotics. It causes a build-up of cerebrospinal fluid and causes severe pressure on the brain and spinal cord. Lots of people who recover are left with brain-damage and other serious after-effects.
I was left with migraine attacks. They caused headaches, but much more - I'd get tunnel vision, nausea, peripheral shutdown (a numbness in the limbs) and could cause blackout if I didn't sit down immediately and wait for it to subside.
I had them throughout the rest of my school days, then somehow they magically stopped when I left school and took up an apprenticeship.
It used to make me laugh when others complained about "having a migraine" because a mere headache seemed a bit paltry. A thumping headache is a bad enough experience, but a proper migraine attack is something else.

    Ah, migraines.

Yeah i get them, although not a bad or as regularly as I did in late teens/early twenties. Intense eye pain and nausea. Used to have cocodomol on prescription, but now just use regular neurofen. At its worst, the only thing that helped was to lie in a completely darkened room as any sort of light made it much worse.

What you are describing sounds like what I usually get, with the intense eye pain. (I had them far more often when younger too) From what I've been reading that's actually more likely Cluster Headache... The intense eye pain is the main clue. Apparently Cluster Headaches get misdiagnosed by doctors as migraines all the time.

I had lots of migraines starting in my teens and all through adulthood. It runs in the family. For me the difference between a really, really bad headache and a migraine is that migraine is always linked with nausea. The searing pain (very often on one side of my head) the flashing lights and sensitivity to light was always accompanied with an inability to eat. Just looking at food could make me want to throw up. If I didn't get the nausea, I considered it just a headache. I get them less as the years have gone on.

I've never had a problem with headaches personally and the wife's never used them as an excuse either :)

Did you know that sexual activity is actually a cure for headaches, something to do with unconstricting blood vessels. So having a headache is actually a terrible excuse.to turn down sex.

Just a tad. Laid out bins down in the floor to try and reduce the surface area for wind to grab them and fling them down the road.

Have to do that quite often round here anyway. I put an old tyre on top of them as well. It amazes me how many people insist on putting their bins out for collection on windy days - knowing full well the contents will be all over the streets.

It isn't too bad here atm, it was windy during the night but no worse than it is several times each winter. Looks like it's much worse darn sarf, so be careful. <ok>

Ironically it’s bin day today so bins were out last night but didn’t get proper windy here until 8-9am but seen a few fallen over after they’ve been emptied now.

Even now it’s not too bad tbh. Bit blowy but nothing like what thought would be. Meant to be getting worse as day goes on down here but no where near the 70-80mph it was expected to be yet. Says it’s only about 25mph atm

Lost large amount of our fence so going to have to bite the bullet and get it redone with concrete posts etc which is going to cost a bomb as there are 21 6ft panels <yikes>

You might be able to cut the cost by getting wooden posts. You could also try sourcing the panels and other materials yourself, get them delivered and just pay someone to fit them. In the meantime, keep an eye on the dog.

I've got 300' of fencing being delivered to put up next week on my week off. Not the expensive concrete kind (although even cheap fences are expensive). Give the dogs a small temporary place to go play and poop.

Because we're in the middle of nowhere and putting it up to keep dogs in and deer/coyotes out rather than for privacy, I went with the black PVC coated steel hex wire and steel posts to save money. Not looking forwards to burying the posts as we're on really tough heavy red clay which only lasts a few inches before it turns into rocks.

If it is doable I'll be using it to fence in a larger area for the chickens when we get them.
