    Back in the late 70's, after watching the TT, I crossed from Douglas,IoM to Liverpool on the steam packet ferry, during a Force 9 gale. Immediately upon leaving the harbour, I threw up for the whole 8 hours it took to complete the journey. The vehicle decks looked like breakers yards when we docked...and it wasn't close to being as bad as that.
