    That’s a pretty embarrassing stat though, on the face of it. I don’t like to see that sort of gamesmanship from other clubs, so not going to pretend it’s okay when Saints do it…

    …actually, who am i kidding? If we’re defending a lead and need to break up play for a bit, crack on lads…

    Did I not read, quite recently, that Dan Sheldon would no longer be reporting on us, as he was moving on to his real love, F1?
    If he is moving on, I would suggest that he has burned some bridges and will have lost some goodwill if his parting shot is to expose something that may have been revealed to him in confidence, maybe by someone at the club.

    No idea why Dan would write this. Especially because if you look at it 14/24 is only just enough to really be a trend. Would it be even commented on if it were 11/24 and therefore less than 50%?

    Also - it’s not really something in confidence. They have discussed it for several weeks on TSP. It is noticeable if you watch enough of our games. The real insight (from Dan actually) was that it is partly the reason for the Salisu long throws. The delay caused by him moving over the take them gives people a breather. So it doesn’t matter that he isn’t really any good at them as it isn’t the point

    Should be called Saints’ fans purgatory.....injury time is always endless if we are winning or holding onto a draw by a thread, but very short if we are chasing a game. We are usually the last game to turn red.
