Each way Patent/Treble at Kelso: 1:00 - Lissen To The Lady 18/1 (5 places) 3:05 - Riders On The Storm 7/1 4:10 - Grady Gaston 8/1 Same bet at Meydan: 2:00 - Positivity 9/2 (4 places) 3:45 - He's a Balter 17/2 4:55 - Moqtarreb 11/1 (6 places) Also at Meydan, skybet are doing money back if second or third in the 2:35 so i've had a go on Hotline Bling at 14/1. If it gets out quickly and to the front then it shouldn't be out of the first three and might prove difficult to pass. Thought it looked a big price. Good luck anybody having a go today and stay safe in this ****ty weather that we're experiencing.
Kelso 1.00 Franks Fancy ew Course winner who should be suited by todays conditions and booking of Brian Hughes catches the eye
Hello, everyone. Hope everyone bearing up under the relentless onslaught from old girl Eunice. Last evening was actually the first time in my lifetime when I heard a weather alert/forecast say that a loss of power was probable. Not likely or possible but actually probable. Scary stuff. It hasn't gone down, here, yet but the 11 o'clock local news bulletin said that 6,000 homes in close proximity have. Red alert, at the moment, set to last until 3 pm. Not surprised almost all the racing orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrf. I wonder what tomorrow will be like re the action taking place???
Takes me back to the festival a few years ago when the Wednesday was lost to high winds. Hopefully Eunice and her pals will be long gone by then.
A winner, a 3rd and an unfortunate 4th on the skybet money back one. Rest have to run yet. I might have peaked
16:10 Kelso - Fog On The Tyne (Totally speculative effort today in a very open-looking Bumper. Malinas mare should handle the going, based solely on breeding, although dam certainly had no worthwhile form to speak of, but otherwise who knows? The progeny of unraced damsire Accordion have done well over the years. Decent conditional Joe Anderson takes the ride for the Sandy Forster yard. 25/1generally-available at time of writing. E/W , of course, maybe she can grab a place at least?
Race decimated by non runners. Including my own selection. Means a decent enough profit on my first patent at least. Good luck with yours mate. Form you're in I think I'll have a little play ew.
I hope it will do well for you, Smokey. I noticed that trainer Sandy Forster had already won the first for you at Kelso. Hope it's not asking too much for her horse to run a good race in this one too!
Oh well, sorry about that, Smokey, but it hopefully teaches me a lesson! Was surprised by mare's SP of 11/1, must have had a few shekels on it, although she made no show at all. Winner showed a lot of guts to win it. I had better be a bit more sensible tomorrow!
