It would. Obviously I don't how how the cars will perform but my gut tells me Lewis will be very tough to beat, even for Max. Lewis Hamilton driving a good car is hard enough, Lewis Hamilton driving a good car with a massive chip on his shoulder makes things even tougher. He is going to be fired up from the very first practice session. When Rosberg won his WC Lewis simply upped his game and completely dominated until last year. And it will be interesting to see how Max deals with becoming the hunted instead of the hunter.
Yes and no. I mean it'll depend a huge amount on who has nailed the regulation changes. Of course Lewis will be massively motivated though, and as you say, he's hard enough to beat under normal circumstances. I just wonder if his head will drop if Mercedes doesn't have a competitive enough car (which would be a huge surprise). What's exciting with the Ferrari is that they seem to have gone very radical, which will either take them up to be able to compete with RBR and Mercedes, or it'll mean red faces to go with the red cars, and a battle with HAAS.
The 2022 cars are definitely the sleekest we've seen in many years...maybe ever? I'm sure, in a couple seasons when everyone has managed to eke out every thousandth of a second from their aero, they'll all look like origami again, but for now they're quite fetching.
