Dodgy lot, I've heard that they eat their own young. I was born on the edge of the Blackdown Hills and grew up in the Mendips so I'm naturally suspicious of anyone that comes from the wrong Somerset Hills
No idea really. No fan of his, (by a long shot), but didn’t trust her either initially...may have to review that as the money is going to charity. Not specifically this case, but many cases are settled before court in the US. Very dodgy over there...as a foreigner I wouldn’t want to try and fight a case there. Also I doubt the Queen or Prince Charles wanted this case to drag on.
Maybe I`m being too cynical, but I would think there would be a wedge going to charity, but also a hush-hush wedge going to her.
Maybe, maybe not. He's settling now to avoid a lengthy court case and drag the reputation of the monarchy through the mud. It was always going to be settled out of court.
Oh I think he definitely is, but like you say, it was always going to be settled. Suits both parties - he doesn't have to take the Royal Family into court, she gets the payday she was very clearly after.
If you were innocent, would you pay out ? - damn sure I wouldn`t. I`d want to clear my name entirely, and therefore avoid bringing the monarchy into further disrepute. He`s limiting the damage, but he`s closing the stable door after the horse has bolted. Doesn`t sweat/pizza in Woking/flying to meet Epstein to tell him face-to-face their friendship was over - just a pack of lies. And to crown (!) it all, mummy is bailing him out. Money laundering !
Good spot 7! I do feel sorry however for who I would describe as decent royals who represent the monarchy and the country admirably - Anne and William for example. They get dragged down by this sorry tale by association.
He faced another action in Switzerland after reneging on payment for a chalet reportedly worth 18 million. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...rk has,Virginia Giuffre, according to reports.
The reason that I think she's dodgy (and believe me my normal knee jerk reaction is to side with women) is that she waited so long to bring Andrew in as having serious involvement. She couldn't go for a lot of people because they were excluded by an earlier financial agreement. There was a list of employees that must have known what was going on that were protected by this earlier deal. Maxwell would also have been protected but she was omitted as she wasn't technically an employee....a decision that came back to bite her (and I do think she was guilty). Guiffre (sp?) claimed she was motivated by reading about the suffering of so many women which made her feel guilty about her earlier deal....not a mind reader, so don't know if true or not. Andrew at the worst is what she describes and at the best is an idiot always on the take near the rich and famous. I feel for the Queen and others who just get on with their job, but I especially feel for Andrew's girls.....they will side with him, but their admiration for their father will have dimmed badly.
Talking about her motives, whether she was willing or that she's an opportunist etc is irrelevant. She was a minor and there was every chance he knew that. If she benefits from it financially that's his problem, he's lucky he's not going to jail.
Just my opinion, but if Andrew was as innocent as he would have us believe, he just needed to have his security detail release their work sheets detailing that he was at a pizza restaurant in Woking, at the time he claimed to be there. And with it being a birthday bash for his daughter Beatrice, I am pretty damn sure that someone would have been taking photos. As far as I am aware, there has been no independent confirmation of his alibi.
What an unexpected twist, Prince Andrew is now paying Virginia Giuffre to keep her mouth closed. No sweat!

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-60398033 A 35-year-old British man has been named as the victim of Sydney's first fatal shark attack in nearly 60 years. A friend confirmed Simon Nellist died in the attack on Wednesday. Police have not yet formally identified the victim and his family have not commented. Australian authorities are still searching for the great white shark, with swimmers banned from the water and most city beaches shut after Wednesday's attack. Authorities say Mr Nellist was mauled by a great white shark just off Little Bay in east Sydney. Shark attacks in Sydney are uncommon because the city has long had nets and other deterrents in its waters. On Thursday, surf lifesavers on jet skis patrolled a 25km (15.5 mile) stretch of water from Bondi in the city's east to Cronulla in the south to find the shark. Authorities are also using helicopters and drones. The state government said its shark experts had estimated the predator to be a great white shark "at least three metres" in length based on footage of the incident taken by a member of the public. Several passers-by who witnessed the scene have described a vicious and frenzied attack. "[The person] was swimming and a shark came and attacked [them] vertically," Kris Linto told Nine News. "We heard a yell and turned around, it looked like a car had landed in the water, a big splash then the shark." How do you stop sharks attacking? Did Australia see more shark attacks in 2020? One man recounted how he had been fishing on the rocks when he saw the swimmer get dragged under. "It was terrible. I am shaking. I keep vomiting. It's very, very upsetting," he told ABC News. Authorities managed to retrieve body parts from the water two hours after the attack. ************ He’s being buried next Monday , Tuesday and Weds ***************
