It was an excellent game to watch even at 0-0.

Intense all the way from both teams.

Hats off to inter, I didn't think they'd last 70mins against our relentless way of playing.

Jota ran the back two ragged before coming off. Klopp will adore that.

Quality result. Really under the cosh for a lot of the game but we stuck to the task and then took our chances when they came.

Konate is quality too, he was taking no **** tonight.

One of the worst games I've seen from Trent, totally understand VVD going crazy at him. His bollox shrivelled on the edge of the box at once point too <doh>

MOTM is Bobby for me. Made a massive difference and worked his socks off for the full 45mins he was on.

    Fantastic game of football too

Agree about ibu and trent tonight, (trent needs decent cover like robbo and kostas) there's a good clip on the twatter thread of those two, trent waxing lyrical about how good konate can be if you didn't catch it.

Big fan of him, seems a proper nice lad, humble, hard working, likes some bantz

Fabinho was awesome in that first half. I was very surprised to see him go off.

VVD, Konate, Fabinho and Bobby all had a shout for MOTM imo, I just gave it Bobby because he changed the game and got us the win.

We dont often speak about klopps tactical nounse as lfc fans or even the pundits and media, it s easy to forget the intricacies of his skills as a tactical thinker when the music's so good you think he's just a conductor... Or a raver dancing on the speakers <laugh>

But as I said that triple sub changed the game tonight and I couldn't see why until after.

I enjoyed that the most about tonight's game personally. I Always respect being proved wrong in the right way.

Brilliant side and manager we have here, absolutely blessed to have them:emoticon-0165-muscl

Does it in the CL quite regularly as you’re allowed 5 subs now.

2-0 away to Inter is a very good result. There were times when I thought that they would make the break through but Klopp changed things up and we powered through. We cannot play like that if we progress though, better teams will punish us.

The performance wasn't great but it was pretty much a textbook away game in Europe. Big result, 2 goals and a clean sheet. What more can we ask for?

Inter didn't really threaten us, even during their dominant spell at the beginning of the second half - that is great credit to Fabinho, VVD and Konate - all 3 of them were outstanding.

Tbf to Inter, they were organised and they pressed us well - forced a lot of errors from us. But big credit to Klopp, the subs made a big impact and it takes big balls to take off Fabinho who was our best player in that first half.

For all of the criticism that Hendo received for his Burnley performance, he looked fresher and sharper and with a point to prove. Gave us more intensity. Naby came on and also played a big part - playing in between the lines and retaining possession with ease. And Diaz providing that energy, directness and asking questions of the Inter defenders.

I expected more from Thiago and Elliott - they weren't poor but they just didn't get going. Along with Trent.

Let's hope Jota's injury isn't serious but it's great that Klopp is managing mins well.

Elliott can be excused. Thiago was poor imo. Mane and Salah could do with a proper rest imo.

On the whole I was actually impressed with Inter, except for the highly rated Lautaro Martinez. I guess better players than him have wimped out of taking on VVD but still. They were without Barella too who we've often been linked with.

But it just goes to show how deep our squad is now that we can react when the game is starting to get away from us.

Liverpool became the second English side to beat both Inter and AC Milan in the same Champions league campaign after Tottenham in (2010-11).

This pretty much sums it up. Hendo and Naby came on and we kept the ball a lot better (both with 90%+ pass completion):

Could this be Hendo's new role? Back up to Fabinho? Seems better suited there than the RCM?

they had no pace to threaten us. that was it. They cut the midfield up with simple movement to get their wide men in space against just a full back but after that we always has enough to recover.

Faster forwards for inter and those positions where konate and vvd look heros become last ditch or cannot make tackles that can end in disaster.

Some would say he used his experience and leadership to get control of the game :bandit:

Certainly not a like for like replacement. Is probably more suited to a deeper role as time goes on but he’ll still play far more games at RM this season than anywhere else on the pitch.
