Oh well if the papers saying he’s linked to jobs then that’s it then Any job nick would take would have to be an hour from west Ella or else
He took us to the cusp of the play offs, I don't think on the back of that he wouldn't have wanted to have another go on the basis of 'not being cut out for it'. Neville failed miserably on the pitch by comparison.
Maybe wants a home life in Hull and doesn't want a nomadic lifestyle in football anymore? That's fair enough.
Well I'd suggest posting articles which contain at least a grain of truth is a bit better than the hearsay some rely on to make their point?
Well no there's articles linking him to jobs as well but as you won't believe them and I can't be arsed digging them out perhaps best to leave things there.
As I said Bruce's FIRST signing was a Barmby target, not all of his signings, of course not. The point being the Allams were happy to trust Bruce's judgement on the exact same player Barmby wanted to sign. So the suggestion they didn't trust his ability to identify players in January feels a bit weaker on the back of that.
Linking to jobs ****jng hell Just why would any club be rolling out the red carpet for nick? it’s completely nonsensical
The one who got us up through the play offs and was superior to Marshall in our following PL season, yep.
Papers linked him with other jobs. Okay, fair enough. @NewcastleTiger said he played for Wyke under Barmby and said he was cack. Lads in my year on the team had similar things to say.
To the tune of £80m. A hundred times more then all the previous owners of Hull City lumped together and multiplied by what ever number you want. But lets forget that and keep digging for **** to throw eh ?
From recollection he absolutely did take us to the cusp of the play-offs,then it all went belly up and we were no longer on the cusp of the play offs.My other recollection was that the majority of supporters were pretty down about that and said very little at the time about Barmby getting his P45? His appearance at the Stadium last week seems to have stirred up some pent up empathy for some reason?
Bottled it in the march if I recall right. We had a lot of fixtures that month and it was make or break. The ones who did call out the Allams over Barmby soon shut up once his replacement came in.
That's not opinion, that's FACT. He was in goal in the play off final and unseated a poor Marshall during the PL season under two managers. You can not rate him all you want but he was a better player than the 5m David Marshall in that season for us.
