I can understand this regarding online and shop sales, but you cannot expect fans not to spend at the bars on match days...
Todays Statement from SD/CM (no word from JS) is pure PR Released in response to yesterdays % break down of who owns what… Obviously the NDA which was mooted about discussing % was lies or SD & Co would be suing KLD now… KLD has been poorly advised and should really have waited a few more months before purchasing us last year as SD/JS/CM we’re on the brink (as SD declared in a group telephone call to other league Chairman in Dec 2020). Obviously KLD would have gambled with a play off space not being achieved if he bought us later in the season, but with his ‘5 year plan’ it wouldn’t have made much difference if we were up or not last year. Granted he has the highest ‘%’ of all 4 of them personally but the other 3 have a bigger collective %. It all comes down to the agreement in place. As reported today, the 3 of them still have to sign off on financials of key club business (such as manager appointments) & contributing to funding on a pro-rata basis would, it appears, significantly to limit SAFC spending power. If all of the shareholders are still pumping money into the club in proportion to their shareholdings (As SD has stated today, in excess of £20m; which I very much doubt but we’ll wait for the April accounts), this will stifle our progress as if our ‘billionaire’ owner KLD wanted to put in £100million, it means that SD, JS and CM would collectively have to put in over £100million to match this (which they simply haven’t got; hence the American loan and desperation to get KLD on board) Further to today’s statement today, it has to be rubbished, as if SD really wanted to sell why has it taken a public outcry to offer his stake up? For less than £15m KLD (a billionaire) can buy the 3 of them out and have total control… This then begs the question why hasn’t KLD bought them outright (suggests the 3 of them have not intention in selling as they are waiting for a big pay off in the premier league - they will be waiting a while, and todays comments are just damage limitation before tonight’s Red n white army meeting) Possibly though KLD has intentionally released the % break down yesterday, to cause a whole lot of hassle to make SD raise his head above ground and back him in a corner to sell lock/stock? So KLD can have full control and really give the club it’s ‘fresh start’ And where is JS in all of this?? Todays statement/press release is SD/CM, no comment from JS… if he were to make alliances with KLD then collectively they both would have the higher % Remember, JS is the one who originally bought KLD to the club, and will probably want to stay after SD/CM had gone. He’s also still on the board Fans who say this is getting boring, or we don’t need to know this, or support the team etc, just scroll past ‘these posts’, as I’ll support the team on Sat as I have always done, but to simply gloss over the simple fact that the actions of the ones at the top of the club isn’t having a massive affect on our progress on and off the pitch… is pure stupidity Granted we are league one now, and deserve to be, but should we just stick our heads in the sand and accept mediocrity? The actions of CM, JS and SD are seriously stifling the club and it’s progress. We have no Devine right to be in a higher league, we deserve to be were we are for past decisions, but should we accept that? Regarding KLD… it’s a big few months approaching, not only on the pitch but now with SD comments today (if genuine), if KLD wants to progress the club SD/CM have said their will sell their shares, so the balls in KLD’s court to purchase them and rid the club of the ghosts now! Once KLD gets his rumoured inheritance following his upcoming birthday (18th Dec), they’ll be no trust fund and he can spend his own money as he sees fit. That’s when we should be able to judge KLD’s real intentions as a club owner. There’s still a lot to come from this story … I bet Alex Neil wishes he’d waited a bit longer before saying yes now ♂️
If you note I had edited my post as it over stepped the mark Could I politely request you to amend you post For the record I did refer to business not individuals Apologies I have reported myself to Mods requesting deletion of all relevant posts
" Why Sunderland Stewart?" " Well because it's Sunderland " Fcuking lying cnut, only interested in filling his pockets, couldn't give a **** about bluffing and lying to the actual lifeblood of the club, each to their own but anyone who gives these charlatans the time of day is seriously deluded.
That’s only true is some of the shares are non voting shares. If all shares are equal he doesn’t have a controlling interest Some have suggested Sartoris shares are non voting but there is no evidence of that More likely there is a shareholders agreement that gives KLD day to day control of the club. But if that’s the case suspect any major spend is still subject to shareholder agreement
I can’t condone that mind but they do show arrogance turning up. It’s like ‘I’m richer than you you have no say’
That's theoretically true, it's just not what's actually happening, over the road I have suggested we as a fan group buy 10% and then pass 5 off to another investor it would mean that ourselves and KLD would have control I realise that's a big ask but not if enough people were to get involved
