A small fine of only a couple of million so must of been only a little bit guilty. He’s a pompous twit. However, the justice is he will pay for the rest of his life.
Oh the Grand Old Duke Of York He had 2 million quid He gave it to an American girl For something "he never did"
All of the settlement? Not sure if that's right. If it's true that she's not taking any money at all I'll take back my comment.
As I understand it, she won't be able to talk about any of Andrew's involvement once the settlement is received. Again, happy to be corrected.
Time to shut the whole thing down. Let Elizabeth see out her days as Queen, then hold a referendum in favour of becoming a Republic. Take their properties and estates into public ownership. Here's a thing that's in the news today, apparently the seabed within Britain’s territorial waters is owned by the Crown Estate and Her Maj is about to benefit by £38m a year from windfarms. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ritorial waters is owned by the Crown Estate. Meanwhile, Britain is the food-bank capital of Europe.
Nobody but the parties and their lawyers know, Col. It should be possible to say how much money Andrew paid to the charity, since it should be revealed in its annual accounts.
Agree with this in part. We have an antiquated monarchical system that must be seriously updated on the death of Her Maj. I think there will be a public mood for it, since much of their love is directed at the woman herself, and less the system. Charles and Camilla won't be nearly so popular, though they won't be unpopular either. But the idea that the Windsor family own large tracts of the UK like feudal barons has surely had its day. Most of the royal houses should be turned into museums, and the lower aristocracy hangers on turfed out so they can go and make a living. But personally, I'm not ready to jump to a republic. A monarch does seem to temper some of the excesses of an elected head of state. I don't favour a President Boris Johnson or Keir Starmer.
