It was a general comment, not necessarily aimed at you, and not necessarily about pizza. I know a few people (and hear of many more) who complain about being hard up but get plenty of takeaways. Some people can't be arsed cooking - and I can accept that - but it doesn't seem like an economic way to feed yourself to me. Not to mention the healthy diet argument.
If you want real Italian pizza, you get your Sicilian friends to make one for you, square, never round.
I don't know what the economy is like in Britain, I mean when I left there was none of these fast food places and eating options you have now. It was pretty much a chippy, a Chinese take out and maybe an Indian in your average community and that was it. It sounds like a lot more options over there now. Here in the US you can get a crappy burger for $1 in most places. Wendy's has a four for $4 option: Burger, fries, chicken nuggets and large soda drink for $4. You can pig out on tacos at taco bell for under $5. You can get a large pizza for $5 which is enough to split with others. If you're OK eating crap, you can eat out for a comparable price (or less) to a cooked meal at home. A lot less nutritious and perhaps not very good. Can be tempting though if you're running low on time.
I believe there are dirt-cheap burgers and such to be had but it's not something I eat. I've never set foot in a McDonalds or a KFC in my life. Actually I have been in a McDonalds, once, many years ago, but it was only to meet someone so I'm sticking with my original claim.
Those two are particularly bad examples... Lol .. bottom of the barrel crap. I got a parfait from McD on way back from beach maybe 5 years ago (my habitual poop-maker breakfast at home is chia seeds, uncooked oats, and fruit-or a spoon of jam, mixed in yoghurt). I wanted my yoghurt... Couldn't eat the McD parfait it was like eating icing it was so sweet. That's the only time I've eaten McD in the last decade. Really no reason to eat there when there is a comparable priced but better tasting rival on each corner if that's what I wanted. Imo McDonalds is the worst of all burger chains. Not sure how they are so common. Same with KFC... Probably about three years ago, again travelling, in a remote crappy area and all they had was KFC... Was every bit as disgusting as I remember KFC being. Again, if I want fried chicken there are a dozen major chains that make better fried chicken. There's a reason KFC close a dozen stores for each new one they open. Kinda glad they're on their last legs.
It will be competed for by men in business suits and brief cases full of money just taking money out of their briefcases and throwing it at the ball to see whose money can knock the ball towards the other team's goal.
Well this is dull. psg get the ball and their front 4 players just stand still until someone passes to them. Only time look threatening is when get the ball to mbappe and he’s 1v1.
What's a large pizza to you for 5 bucks? I can't see as how you can really cook at home for less that 5 dollars given the cost of gas or electricity and fresh produce.
Get rid of the away goal and thus is what you end up with. Madrid happy to defend for 90 minutes, willing to take a nil nil or one nil back home snd see how they get on.
Funny the reaction to a Ronaldo goal, he's done nothing for 80 minutes, scores and suddenly what a player. The 89 minutes he does **** all for is suddenly glossed over.
I dont know why anyone let's messi take pens. He is one of the world's worst pen takers. Henderson and messi, one of the rare times they get mentioned together bit in terms of ****e pen takers it's justified.
This. Add in that it makes ET more likely, bearing in mind how uneventful ET usually is, and its a recipe for disaster imo.
It also means the side drawn at home in final leg have a massive advantage. there's no sudden death away goal drama now so the home side in the second leg have the crowd, have the ball boys, have all sorts of little advantages that add up. Even getting pens the best you can hope for in a lot of grounds is you get the end where your small pocket of fans are but that's also down to a coin toss. IMO LFC have a massive advantage in the last 16. a lot of european sides do not travel well and i can see the likes of porto etc just totally giving up if they are not ahead after first leg but even worse there's ZERO incentive to come out and play. 1-0 up park 11 men behind ball. concede 1 after 70mins. Keep men parked and play for extra time. etc etc.
It's hard to know why these decisions are made. It's as though the people making them don't remember the reasons they were made in the first place.
