10 days ago we were hoping for the KLD - Speakman - Keane dream team. Now the only person in a position of leadership that I trust is Alex Neil.
I was told it was sorted and it would change the % make up from what we have seen today. Let's see. Given the absolute state of the communication and transparency from the club of late, it's needed as good will is gone from the majority of Safc fans now.
Makes you also wonder if the whole management replacement saga and now this had somehow happened with LJ still manager (I know that’s impossible), whether views on LJ and what he’s having to deal with at the club might have softened?
They say about conspiracy theories that once there is evidence of one being right the floodgates open. They have hugely made a mess. Yes they weren’t lying by semantics but they have been dishonest

James Hunter absolutely nails it with this line in his article: “How anyone could describe Louis-Dreyfus as having a 'controlling stake' with 41 percent, but Donald's 34 percent as a mere 'minority shareholding' - as was set out in the club's announcement last February - is beyond me.”
Wasn't this announced through The Athletic?? Why would the club announce this through them. Surely this is a bit fishy and not quite right??
Queer carry on this. About a year ago KLD did a set piece interview. He was very decisive in it, describing his, (HIS) aims and hopes. He also publicly accused the previous owners of asset stripping, a charge never publicly denied or defended. He cannot have been referring to Short who, far from taking out, lost half his shirt here. So Donald and Metvhen it must have been. All a bit unhealthy this. Needs sorting out, some honesty shown, though asking for that from Donald in particular would be like asking for the moon.
He’s been involved throughout and not spoken out, whether doing so would be suitable or otherwise. So I’m going to reserve my trust of Dave Jones. Especially seeing he had tight links to the club Methven and Donald also have tight links with, before all 3 came here. They’ve all said that the Oxford link is a coincidence. I’m now choosing to not believe anything any of them say unless there is proof.
More questions keep popping into my head. Like is this why National journos have said a few times that they’re frustrated they can’t get access to KLD, despite him being so hands on? Like is this why we keep getting Speakman on Unfiltered, never KLD? Like is this why the ONLY time anybody hears from KLD publicly its either through carefully rehearsed statements from the club or with TalkSport, an establishment very friendly with our old ownership? (EDIT - I’ve done it again - sorry not OLD ownership - I meant the rest of the ownership group) Almost like there’s a veneer that needs to remain as long as possible.
I’m not sure why they’ve announced this now at all, frankly. If their strategy was to mis-lead, why change now? Why not just keep kicking the can down the road. Makes me even more wary that not only have they tried to mis-lead us, they’re also entirely tone death about why that would upset fans I don’t think they necessarily were expecting the reaction they’re getting, and will continue to get.
Unless there was no way of announcing the new investment without revealing that Donald etc had a greater pecentage than previously suggested, and so are releasing this first and hadn’t appreciated the response it might cause?
