All that's going on at the moment and i still expect Starmer and Rayner to ask about tinsel and birthday cake as a matter of urgency at PMQs on Wednesday <laugh>

Twice now the stupid bint has called an "urgent" question to be raised in the HoCs, was the cake sponge or fruit based.

EDIT........probably shouldn't blame Starmer for that, he just stands there looking embarrassed

Starmer is trying to distance himself from the crazed leftie idiots but they keep following him.

Yeah, it's becoming quite obvious now.
He has realised that to have even the slightest chance in an election he needs to listen and speak to the actual populace and not the weirdo's.

He's scared to do it though. There's so few Sensible types in the PLP and even when he tries to bring one in they seem to become more influenced by the crazed leftie types.

You will never win an election pandering to minorities.
Don't get me wrong, minorities need a voice and equal treatment, that should be part of "leveling up".

Of course it's a Remainer plot. But there is a very good reason for that. Part of that reason was admirably demonstrated only last week by Rees-Mong appealing to the readership of The Sun - a particular cerebral cohort - to give him inspiration in his new job in searching for reasons to be cheerful for Brexit, a rather difficult prospect one would have thought in the especially thin gruel consisting of miles of stationary juggernauts on the M2 and the equally intransigent prospect of providing sausages for the Ulstermen.

The truth is of course that even as Mr Rees-Mong parties like it's 1899 reasons to be cheerful have to be provided by dubious claims like we are the fastest growing economy in the G7, even though that claim has to be predicated on the basis of 7% recovery following a 9% fall! something that our in house accountant will confirm leaves us with just 97.4% of the GDP that we already had. Thin gruel indeed for the Brexiteers.

It's interesting to note how many of them are absolutely fixated on their own personal wealth.
