25 for a red, 20 blue and 15 yellow plus machine is about 47 most I’ve ever done is 475 but usually go up to 425/435 top set.
Got 3 stone to lose starting Monday. Gonna have to get on my bike. Back in the office in a couple of weeks and I've got no clothes that fit
All of it ? I make myself earn my beer tokens. 10 miles on the bike equals around 1000 calories or 3/4 bottles of 660ml beer
So my youngest kid is mad into the gym and, he's 15 and wanted these protein shakes which we were not happy about it but have allowed him a 3rd of the usual dose, he's 15 years old. He's now taking amount a high protein diet alongside this. Any advice?
Bin off the protein powder completely and help him to get his protein through a healthy balanced diet. That advice probably won't go down well with a 15 yr old lad.
You are right he won't listen. At the moment at least. So I'm just concerned about his health, is powder plus the diet too much? With him only taking a 3rd of the recommended amount of powder?
Something like this but with Greek yoghurt and milk/juice and no protein powder. Is whey protein bad for you? Munse uses it and his body is a ****in temple.
How much is in his diet? The main reason for protein powder is it is cheaper than say eating 10 chicken breasts a day to get same level of protein. Plus it’s easier to just down a shake than spend your whole day eating. Unless he’s chugging down way more than he needs then I haven’t heard of it being bad for you. 15 maybe a bit young, but not really sure I always went with 1g of protein for 1lb of body weight, no idea where I got it from but someone must’ve told me that at some point who I thought they knew what they were talking about.
He's being sensible with the shake and accepting a smaller dosage then just wanting all the high protein snacks and loads of chicken. Tbh I bought what he wanted and it's fine.
Pulled hamstring a few weeks ago on bike in a virtual race, FFS. So today was first ride back on it. Took it easy, little sore.
It's actually alot lower than that... You can go as low as 0.6 per pound of lean body mass. 1g is fine but you don't need it for the additional 1 lbs of fat you're trying to lose. Just 1lb per 1lb lean mass
