Not sure how somebody can truly support two teams, especially two in the same division who compete against each other. That being said, maybe the poster is a City fan who moved to the Sheffield area and his lad grew up in Sheffield. My old man’s from Stoke and supported them in his youth but moved to Hull before I was born and he took me to City games and raised me as a City fan. I don’t support both City and Stoke though.

Too hard to guess how games might go while we don't know who's fit, what the new lads are really like or what Arvo's plans are. We've still got a bit of a cushion and as long as we pick up points against P'boro and Barnsley this month we should be ok for a bit longer. Anything from SU and QPR on Saturday will be a bonus.
    UTT!

Never heard of Henderson's Relish. Worcester Sauce is only good for livening up a shepherds pie and for a Bloody Mary.

Think Sheff UTD might nick 6th, a lot more confident going into Saturdays game then this one. Not sure whether I’d go back to 352/3412. If Eaves is fit he has to start for me. Hopefully a full week with the new assistant will get us firing again:emoticon-0107-sweat

I think it will be pretty much the same lineup Saturday, apart from Eaves in for Forss. we looked well balanced in midfield, depending on how Slater is after his first full game, so there might be a change to Docherty. Other than that, let's hope we can get something from the game.

We looked way more solid with the 2 in a 4 2 3 1. The main issue is that to make it work with a 1 up front, assuming it's an Eaves type player, other attacking players in the 'attack minded midfield 3' have to get near enough to the 1 so he's not just isolated - different case if it's a fast bugger playing in a Vardy type way (KLP? AS?) but that's unlikely to be the selection for now at least. With the way Honeyman plays, plus with KLP and Longman as the other 2, it could still work if they can link up better with Eaves.
The other main issues are of course that many teams just have more quality & pace than we currently do, but that can often be at least partly matched with team spirit, hardwork, etc. as we saw in those 3 great wins.
All imo of course. Easy this tactics lark eh.

One thing Forss did was move to ball quickly when he had it at his feet, Eavesy sometimes slows it down too much. He just gets it down more then Forss so that’s the trade off.

Longman wasn’t great further up at the weekend, but I guess the opposition didn’t help.

The 2 in the 4231 really limits us going forward too as they’re both sideways and backwards midfielders and if they can’t get the ball into Honeyman then we don’t have much threat. But they also solidify us at the back so that’s the trade off there too.

Personally I’d stick with the system just change personnel slightly. As a point would be a brilliant result in both games we have this week.

Look after Sharp and the rest of the game will take care of itself. Without sounding like a broken record, one player has been the difference in our last 3 defeats... Archer, Esembele and Mitrovic, the difference between a point and none..

I see that a different way - Eaves holds up the ball and allows other teammates to get around him for a pass. Forss was just pinging it back into the back four from where the ball came, and didn't seem able to link the play very often.

Gibbs White is the player I’m more worried about. Jayden Boyle is similar to Ebosele too

Yeah it must be weird for him! Basically I’m from Hull and been a season ticket holder/member since I was a kid. I moved to the Sheffield area after getting a teaching job 20 years ago this way and been here ever since. I married a blade. So my lad has had season tickets for both teams since he was 6. When we play each other, he sits with his dad at BL and me at City. The FA cup semi was a nightmare though. We had to toss a coin as to who he sat with! I lost and was gutted…He was onto a winner as he was always gonna get to see the final!

Forss gets away from his centre half to get the ball Eaves gets into wrestling matches. When you’re his size you’ll always get the cold shoulder from the ref. Would like to see them together

You must have seen a lot of Forss NT...because I haven't seen what you've seen.... TE on the other hand brings others into play...
