Absolutely it was and I am as happy with this result as the Everton one. We need a break though we are picking up injuries.
Not me in this one this time I was delighted with Burn. The only signing I’m unsure about is Wood but he put in a great shift today. No one can be negative atm. We are on cloud nine. Our form is amazing.
I for once font want to produce screenshots. We all get things wrong and like you say we're winning so who cares One player I've been wrong about is Fraser that's 3 really good games and he's grafting. Rb is an issue now... Krafth? Atrocious I've never seen him play well.
Think it was Roland suggesting he was a poor signing. It was early days, around when the news broke that we were in talks for him. Fairly sure he's since made more positive noises though.
Can’t believe how quickly he’s managed to un-Bruce the team. They aren’t o he used to the high press now.
We saw today though personnel is important as mentality. Krafth and Dummett had us retreating like Bruce/Rafa again. You could see Eddie below us, and Burn, telling them both to press the man. Id consider playing Schar right back rather than Krafth. He’s a liability.
I don't think I was on my own being underwhelmed with the signing of Dan Burn, nor was I the only one concerned about Eddie's transfer record. Didn't say he was a poor signing, though, and Burn was absolutely sensational against Villa. Perhaps I underestimated quite how dreadful everything got under Ashley, maybe numb to the pain by the end. But the difference in a player being at Brighton (an impressively progressive club who now look at home in the PL, yet were an average Champ team before 2017) or being at Newcastle is clear for all to see. Krafth is turd, but to be fair we're talking about 3rd choice RB at a side 17th in the PL. And he still plays for Sweden. Haven't we got any youngsters at RB?
Its good to hear but I don't really buy into what players say, because they soon change their tune with little jibes when the results go the other way and pressure builds. I remember them all praising Bruce saying his training sessions were harder than under Rafa. Saying they were all sharp and intense. All the usual guff to get in the good books. By the start of last season there were rumours about too many days off, Wilson making snide remarks and claiming they started the season not fit enough. They are full of ****. I might not rate Bruce but the players nowadays are complete and utter mercenaries when it comes to managers.
I’ve just read Big Andy bigging him up in the press. Blah blah blah. It’s a results and performance business end of story. If you win, your training is good. If you don’t it clearly isn’t. People who read too much into stats and pressers need their head checked.
Everyone will suck his plumbs, but unfortunately somewhere down the line a few bad results and they'll start saying he's useless. Happens every time these days sadly.
I think we all know he is useless and that he won't be here long term. However, while he is here let's hope he keeps playing like he is at the minute.
