I seem to recall rumours of a similar thing involving Ryan Giggs when he was younger, no doubt this kind of thing happens more then we realise, it's just covered up by the clubs.

Moyes and West Ham have totally misread the situation, and it looked like the Sky script was going to be about the cat kicker being the victim, until Souness spoke out.

 

It was obvious Souness went against the script as he asked permission to go on his rant

He's right though. Zero sympathy for that **** Zouma. My opinion of Moyes as a man has plummeted as well. Thought he's done a good job at West Ham after the disaster that was Man Utd but he's a spineless **** for playing Zouma against Watford and justifying it because he's a good player. No morals or principles.

I don't imagine the Sky cameras picked up on the cat kicking chants and the inflatable cats being hurled around by West Ham fans at the game either.

 

Graeme Souness absolutely nailed it - Zouma's kicking a cat for entertainment and can't see ****-all wrong with it so posts it on social media; what a ****er, he deserves all that he's had and all that's yet to come!

 

Yes completely agree. Shows a massive lack of intelligence all Around for the presenter. Shouldn’t be defending Zouma,

your absolutely right that there appears to be an ‘agreed script’ going on here, which is in itself ridiculous, whatever that viewpoint may be. The fact that they appear to be defending Zouma reinforces how massively out of touch they all are with society in general.
But imagine the poor souls that work in HR at West Ham. Their staff handbook must be like the doomsday book.

Crazy situation that Moyes is still justifying playing Zouma. I have a lot of respect for Moyes and i do wonder whether his hands are being tied here and he’s been told to protect Zouma as a playing asset, he’s young and (Was) worth a lot. I just don’t see Moyes as the type of manager that would tolerate this, it’s all smells a bit.

 

It'll be interesting to see if Souness is 'sidelined'.... but the Sky presenter was right, Zouma patently has got mental health issues and 'RSPCA rehabilitation' isn;t going to solve them, it goes way way way beyond that and his club haven't recognised it...

 

This coming from Souness, who apparently was pictured with an elephant from trophy hunting.
Thats a far bigger crime than Zouma's.
