It hurts everyone but lashing out at the other posters on here and insulting their intelligence isn't going to help.

Maybe consider that's it's easy to vent and be negative but it's more difficult to keep your chin up and try to stay positive. If we were all spewing out bile on here it'd be a very unpleasant place to be.

But we are here and yes it hurts all of us.

That being said when KLD took over he said if it took a couple of years to get promoted then he was ok with that as it was important to get the bones in place.

Personally whilst disappointed that we are in league 1, i'm happy to wait if need be for the broken bones to heal.

Not like it makes any difference to the outcome of the season if people are being 'unrealistic', it's not up to you to force your opinion on them.

Saying that they're being stupid or idiotic is out of order and only contributes to a toxic atmosphere.

Fair enough , on reflection the term idiot is not what was needed. That said there is no forcing. Being realistic is the same as being optimistic. Both equal in there measure.

I think the reality is that we’ve done some good and signed a better quality of young technical player, but we’ve also not got the balance right and not strengthened all areas of the side. Stewart needed competition which also would have given him a rest, Evans was a poor gamble, should have got a right back in the summer, the Flanagan gamble - not covering ourselves at left back. We’ve been unlucky with injuries for certain but they’ve also uncovered our weaknesses. If we’d had a regular right back Evans, 09 and Huggins injuries could have been ridden.

Good interview. Absolute realism. Been here a day or two and saying it how it is. Refreshing.

    Serious question.

'Do you really believe anyone, and I mean anyone, is in any doubt about the reality we're in.'

I know Johnson wasn't everyone's cup of tea but I do think Neil will be a better fit for most fans in the way he comes across. It doesn't sound like he will take any **** on the training ground. He is a straight talking fella and I bet he has no worries in dishing out a bollocking when required.

What is “reality”? Is it unrealistic to hope rather than say there is none? No it’s not. It’s only unrealistic to those who are down on the club. I’ll keep my hope. We have a chance. It’s a slim one (so where us the unrealistic thing you mention?).

He says seven players are 22 and under, so we are almost an under 23 team, no wonder we are struggling

It is possible mate, so are the play-offs and so is total failure.

Not having hope means giving up, surely people are entitled to hope.

Losing McGeady, O'Nien and, yes I'm saying it, Burge hasn't helped even from them just being involved in the squad.

Everyone is entitled to express an opinion that’s what the forum is for , unfortunately we all don’t agree but nobody deserves to be called a ****ing idiot by a fellow poster . We are all frustrated by what has happened to the side since the new year but we should should respect other posters opinions , I think you should apologise to the forum as a gesture that we are all SAFC fans wanting the best for the club no matter how frustrated we are .

Of course but it's balanced isn't it. Sometimes blind faith and total optimism crosses over into delusion land. I mean, I think it's fair to be hard on the club at the moment. We have standards and we havnt met them. Pissed away a few games where wins should be taken. Made ourselves look foolish across media and socials. I know you don't see it like that but we have and the fan base has seen through it. A lot of good will has went now and people are wanting a bit transparency.

I mean we are 1 win in 8 now.

The club will have to get it going again and answer some questions as season ticket renewals are around the corner.

Well I see nothing from him. Some decent signings but the lack of balance will kill this season.

Maybe he operates under financial constraints we are unaware of, but we seem to be getting players because they have potential, rather than for the team's needs today.

We'll never know, but it would be a stretch to imagine Keane or any experienced manager working "under" a bloke who has never played or coached at pro level, having spent 20 years working with young players and doing a business degree.
