That is true but we will run out of natural resources in the long term, when we have destroyed all the forests and emptied the oceans we will be left with a wasteland that nothing can grow in

That's what I mean about using our resources properly

That comes down to will ultimately

But yeah, we're on that path currently

I think Attenborough was right when he said the biggest threat to the planet was overpopulation

Closely followed by a throwaway culture where domestic appliances etc are designed and built to last 5 years and then be scrapped as well as the crazy fashion industry where clothes you buy today and out of date by tomorrow so you replace your clothes at a faster and faster rate. well the female half of the population

Yep, ultimately the planet only has finite resources to sustain a certain number of people

The point I make about resources, is for our current population, there's enough to go around

We probably won't reach a point of actual overpopulation in terms of pure numbers on the planet needed to sustain everybody though on the path we're heading environmentally at the moment though

If we did, we would probably start colonising other planets once we'd run out of space and resources on Earth.

I think eating meat for protein is different to eating pulses for protein.

I think the meat has other affects on our body…affects the physiology of some parts of the body

Yeah it's different protein for sure

I'm not arguing for plant diet over a meat diet or the other way round

I think people can either eat healthy or eat ****, which is ultimately more important individual health

As for the planet's health, that might be a different argument ?

Anyway, we all worry and moan about resources and the way we deplete them yet forget, Gaia will look after herself and the rest of nature, if we push too far she will wipe us out with climate change regardless of what we do with carbon.

    Yeah maybe

    No though

In terms of rearing millions of animals, clearing forest and turning over food that we could grow for humans to feed to animals to eat them

Or growing food just for humans

I dunno which is better either ?

    Needs a poll
