    Let’s be honest though, it’s nothing less than deserved. We’ve been cut open multiple times, generally coming from out wide.

    the days to call, which we've left behind,
    Our boyhood’s glorious game,
    And our youthful vigour has declined
    With its mirth and its lonesome end;
    You will think of the time, the happy time,
    Its memories fond recall
    When in the bloom of your youthful prime
    We’ve kept upon the ball
    Kick off, throw in, have a little scrimmage,
    Keep it low, a splendid rush, bravo, win or die;
    On the ball, City!
    Never mind the danger,
    Steady on, now’s your chance,
    Hurrah! We’ve scored a goal.
    Let all tonight then drink with me
    To the football game we love,
    And wish it may successful be
    As other games of old,
    And in one grand united toast
    Join player, game and song
    And fondly pledge your pride and toast
    Success to the City club.
    Kick off, throw in, have a little scrimmage,
    Keep it low, a splendid rush, bravo, win or die;
    On the ball, City!
    Never mind the danger,
    Steady on, now’s your chance,
    Hurrah! We’ve scored a goal.

    No bustard within 6 yards of Sterling when that ball was headed back across goal <grr>

    Not convinced we looked any better defensively than the 5-0 loss away.

    Extremely harsh penalty, not deserved at all, especially as Grant “not PL” Hanley was probably our best player on the pitch - maybe Rashica for his first half performance ran him close. But the result was deserved, they could easily have had three more.

    Clear signs of improvement.
    In recent clashes, we've lost by 5 (twice), 6 and 7! <whistle>

    Did VAR even check the penalty? From the slo-mo it looked a terrible decision. Fortunately, in terms of our season, it doesn't matter in the slightest because the game was lost and we're going to have the worst goal difference in the league whatever happens, but it rankles that VAR always seems to help out the big boys and never the minnows.

    To be honest the fault was with Marriner, who was pretty weak today.

    I still feel proud of the team, though. They gave their all against one of the best teams in the world who were on form on the day. I think most of the other teams in the league would have suffered a similar result. OK, sides like Burnley/Watford/Palace might have conceded fewer goals but only because they would have commited 50 fouls and made no attempt to take the game to Man City. We had something like 8 shots on target, which is pretty good.
