These two are criminally underused and all this new youngsters focus has gotten abit stale as evident against man city. It's great we have youngsters full of huge potential but lets not forget the team that got us to the champions league final consisted of park, giggs, valencia and carrick in all the big games. Berbatov was the top premier league scorer and has yet to start a game in the league if im not mistaken, and owen is only 30 odd years young he can still cut it against the likes of wigan, blackburn and everton so why not get the spotlight away from the youngsters for the time being and rely more on the golden oldies. who agrees? discuss..
I'd like to see Berbatov given some game time. He is a great player, I can't believe he hasn't started any matches this season in the league. I'd rather see the the forwards mixed around every match than the defence.
Owen is really underated hes still a top striker when it comes to movement and finishing, i believe his goals to minutes ratio is still far better than any other english striker in the league including young wayne rooney
i think we should be using berbatov more than we have this year, however i do think Welbeck has been doing a good job and does need the game time to develop, so yeah i think it needs to be ballanced up a bit more. But i think the problem Berbatov has had this year is up front everyone has been playing well, if he was a centre mid he'd get game time, though on that matter will Cleverly walk straight back into the team, we were working a lot better when he was not injured?
I catch your drift, but Chicharito provides exactly the same thing that Owen does. Wayne brings a lot more to his game than goals so the "inferior" goals to minutes doesn't mean much. I'm not trying to bag on Owen as I think he's a class act, but I feel there are better strikers in our team that are getting playing time.
