MK Dons haven't done anything in the last ten minutes, we can win this as we are in control and MK are in defence mode now
Some of our best play for a while, come on Town, get that 1st goal and we can win this. Celina, Chappers and Morsy got loads of room.
They are not marking our free players, and we have slipped thru some lovely passes. This is game on, MK not so confident.
Fine first half, both had decent chances, I am enjoying this, and full marks to KM for setting us up. I would bring on Aluko and take off Bakinson who is not offering much apart from his bulk. Aluko makes things happen.
0-0 at half time then. The game started with MK on the front foot, passing it constantly and making us work and chase the ball. It looked like we were going to have a tough afternoon. We did form a couple of attacks on the break and had the first two shots on goal in the match during that early period. The pitch is struggling for grass so Dons haven't watered it heavily and it is a dry and brown surface, causing some high bounces for the ball and it took us a little while to understand how the ball was rolling. After 20 minutes we got control, Morsy bringing the ball forward with 30/40 yard runs and we pushed MK back, sending them into a more defensive mode and we got our attacking patterns going. Last 5 minutes were slightly more even and end to end, with Dons putting us under a little pressure right before half time. I expect MK to adjust their tactics to combat us during the break more than I think we will make tweaks to counter them. First goal will be key.
I think that's a little unfair, Bakinson has broken up play well today. Played some loose passes early in the match but he's not knocked off the ball easily and has been strong next to Morsy.
Scrappy period, and Town giving stupid free kicks. Celina the maestro gobbles up ground and can surely take more shots. Cant agree SD!
Too many passes not finding the target from Celina, Aluko keeps possession in the oppo's half way better.
