Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with it, either. Both goalkeeper and striker go for the ball, Sa doesn't get there and Lacazette does. It's not a clear and obvious error to overturn. Right decision to award the goal.
"He should score more goals, obviously, because we are creating chances, but he hasn't scored enough. But it's not just a problem with Cristiano. It also happens with other players" - Ralf Rangnick about Ronaldo. Yeah, that's always the problem with him. Never scores enough goals...
The last line is pure PNP but the rest of it is a genuine quote and quite right imo. He went on to say we need a striker in the summer which is obvious from the way we are playing yet not scoring. Ronaldo will always score fantastic goals until the day he throws his boots away but he just isn't hitting the net consistently anymore.
He’s also singularly unsuited to playing in a fast, dynamic league under a manager who pioneered high pressing. Don’t get me wrong I think Rangnick is a fantastic DoF but appointing him as a coach smacked of desperation. And signing Ronaldo was nothing more than ego from the club. The twin signings of Pogba and Ronaldo are symptomatic of everything that is holding United back.
It's only taken until half-time for any of the BT pundits to notice Sancho's shot hitting Walker-Peters. Pretty sure that should be an OG.
I notice a distinct lack of decent replays of that Fernandes swing for Ward-Prowse. Should be a straight red if that's what happened, yet VAR is strangely silent. Edit: https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/sqs4w9/bruno_fernandes_tries_to_swing_at_james_ward/ 100%, nailed on red card.
Yeah I thought penalty too, stamp was accidental and rightfully not booked for that but the initial challenge was clumsy from Slabhead. Great game of footy though, enjoyed it. KWP miles ahead of our two WBs, good and bad to see in equal measure for obvious reasons.
Made no attempt for the ball at all and barged him over. Stonewall penalty. I knew it wouldn't be given, though.
In any case, that's another two points dropped for United. They're really trying to avoid that Champions League spot, ey?
Never happened because Maguire got a red in the last game so is suspended for this one. And Broja is a Chelsea player so can't be lent to a team in the same league. Oh hang on a minute, not sure I'm right about that.
