Great stuff, I knew you were going to the game.

Let me know if you want switching into the away section.

We'll be in the Brewhouse if you're near.

If you end up with any away end tickets that you cant shift, I would swap it for a home one

Keane will get sacked in May with this lot playing for him, i said this season is finished now this would be the worst of the worst if we don't make the play offs. half wit defenders at this club, doubt i am going back now.

Me, my son, mate and his daughter will be having a couple of pints in Earlsfield after the game as we are stopping down. Thinking about heading over to Borough Market after that. Anyone know if its decent over that way. Just for some bait and a few more pints. Mates daughter is 13 so we'd not be out late.

I’ll hopefully have a few new Earlsfield station tomorrow. If you’re heading up to Borough Mkt / Southwark you should try this place. Set up by a Sunderland fan and has hosted a few London branch drinks etc. we’ll worth dropping by

Cheers for that but it looks as though it closes at 7pm on a Saturday. So we'd not get back in time.

I have to say, despite the football, I've had a brilliant time at these two games with great people/supporters.

We did our team proud, represented our club/area well in all the pubs and entertained each other and various stewards/police/passers by.

We were raucous and daft but basically harmless and good natured, contributed heavily to the local economy and left without a trace. I've been with lads I've known 40 years and others 10 minutes, helped a dozen or so with tickets and others with accommodation. One, in particular, went out of his way to help me with tickets. I've met their sons who'll be the next generation, one of whom had his photo taken with Defoe and another who I've seen grow from a podgy kid to a London solicitor.

I'm now leaving the Cotswolds, via the match on Saturday, so on to a new adventure. These matches, including next Saturday, are the end of yet another era for me and I've no idea what happens next. I'll be seeing people at the weekend who are good friends and help me with tickets and accommodation so what goes around really does come around.

The acrimony I witnessed yesterday, with some supporters, is totally at odds with my own experience. My philosophy is simple, just be proud of your club, if not the team, and support them as best you can. Be on good form for the people you're spending your time with and hope you leave them with memories as good as your own. I've had 50 great years following Sunderland, this isn't the best, but it's still been a wonderful time.

Haway the Lads and on to Scotland.

Excellent post. As for a young fan getting to meet Defoe - it made his day. Without fans like you sorting people out and being your brilliant self, we'd be much poorer. It's much appreciated.

Cheers mate, yes it'll change things but planning on Wigan and more home games as you say.

I'll time other games to visit the grandkids in Mansfield and a weekend at Wembley as I seem to do every season these days <laugh>
