honestly fox - your asking an opinion about who the new boss is going to be, but as a leeds fan i just dont care! i come on to the leeds board to discuss leeds united "not fester city"

Best of luck with your search, hopefully when you and thai owners could get your heads together and once you have found your new gaff, we may then have our own biased opinion! or maybe if Grayson decides he wants to do 1 we could all talk sensibly, but asking us who you want as your next boss is plain old riff raff

I don't mind this being on our board. If you don't like it, just click 'back' and read a Leeds-related thread. I know that sounds like I'm favouring the Leicester fans, but think of how many times Leeds fans start these multi-threads with good intentions and are castigated. I think they're a good thing as long as they don't turn into slanging matches. Keeps our board busy as well, which is something we need at the moment.

A reasoned response. Thank you kindly. It was an attempt to see if any fans would put their money where their outh is and be accountable for who they would choose.

Sometime down the line they're choice may turn out to be a good prediction or a poor one. But atleast they had the guts to make a conviction. Anyone idiot can WUM. But i shall happily converse and debate with those who make worthwhile predictions.

I think managers like Sean O'Driscoll and Grayson won't be even considered by the Thai owners. They'll want a 'big name' manager, hence why they hired Sven in the first place. I think O'Neil will be the most likely choice - he'd do well for Leicester - as would Mark Hughes. I do think that a manager with Championship experience would be a better choice though, but they're the least fashionable options. I'd appoint either Lee Clark, Grayson or O'Driscoll from that list. But it's not going to any of them.

For all this big name manager stuff, maybe the owners have realised with Sven that it doesn't always work and they should just appoint the best man available, regardless of what his name is. Their aim is to get King Power and LCFC promoted all over the world and whilst a big name manager will help, the best way to do it is to get into the Premier League and to do this, you have to appoint the best you can to manage your team.

I think this is a reasonable thread to have on the boards of championship teams.

One would think fans of championship teams would be interested in whats happening at other championship teams and enjoy discussing, in this case, manager possibilities. If you are uninterested and just want to participate in threads about your own club, then do so, why make a big deal of it?

For so many reasons MON seems the logical choice if he is interested and wants it. What was his departure like and how did fans react to it at the time?

Welcome Jonny, a realistic and logical member, MON left last time just as we thought that we were on the edge of something great, unfortunatly we did not have the stadium or the money or the aspirational board we have now, although many were really dissapointed when he left, you could not blame him? Moving on to a massive club like Celtic, the club he supported all his life.

I am 100% sure that should he return he would return to a heros welcome, the welcome he deserves. He would have the full backing of the board and the fans and would have a massive opportunity to go and finish what he satrted last time around! With the backing of the board and fans I am sure he could achieve top ten in the prem within 3 years.

Thanks!

I happen to think he is a top manager, despite his links to Big Headed Clough.

I would be happy to have him manage the club I support but don't expect that to ever happen.

Someone mention David beckham as manager even tho it sounds silly but him as player/manager would be a great choice. Think of how Many people he could attract to the club he's respected worldwide n could do wonders

He could also think **** that it's Leicester

With the huge expectations, there won't be a great deal of job security. Simon Grayson is unlikely to want to uproot from Leeds for a job that probably won't last long.

It's the money that makes it particularly desirable so questions need to be asked of anyone who wants to take the job on. It's unfortunate for Leicester that their situation attracts the wrong sort of people.

Well, that would depend on how much Grayson believes in his ability. If he does a good job, of course they're not going to sack him. As it were, I wouldn't be too disappointed if it were to be Simon Grayson - Kasper might not be best pleased though!

Grayson won't go to Leicester, I'm pretty sure of that. He left managing Championship Blackpool to manage his boyhood team Leeds in League one. Why would he then leave Leeds to go to Leicester who last season finished below and are currently below Leeds. It makes no sense to me Grayson leaving for Leicester, and if he ever did (which I doubt) it would be purely for the money and Grayson doesn't strike me as the money hunter type. Grayson inclusion on the Poll is purely out of the Leicester style thinking that they can get anyone they want and they will drop to their knees at the chance to manage them.

Maybe because he might have money to spend which he doesn't get with Bates? He could probably use it as a bargaining chip against Bates to strengthen his own position. Has he expressed his displeasure with Bates at all?

Never, at least not publically, and nothing has ever leaked. Bates likes Larry and Larry seems to at least be able to put up with Bates.

If we wanted him, he would come.

But don't worry, we don't.
