Personally, I don't think there's any need for people to get angry about the lack of an announcement mate, but an announcement is normally made in these cases at every club up and down the country. It's perplexing why there hasn't been one yet, so people are bound to discuss it.
I have to say this. I have never ever known a new manager not to be introduced to the fans or media...at any club. It's bizarre. Like alot are saying though at least he's here and that's the main thing. But why the weird delay? This isn't me being negative I'm just totally confused. What is AN making of it? It takes 2 minutes to send a tweet out welcoming him to the club.
Personally i find it disrespectful mate. Respect is a big thing for me so if im being over sensitive then i apologise. He's literally been seen in full training gear and been announced everywhere from local news to Skysports. The club know this, so out of decency and respect to us amazing fans they should at least give us at least some kind of communication
I agree mate. I think it is a respectful thing to do, and it costs nothing. They are now in a silly situation where they are damned if they do or dont. Announce it, make him welcome in public, move on from the circus of the last two weeks.
There is obviously a reason for the delay ,with it being tightly controlled seems more like a legal issue.
I’ve not been that annoyed by it really but starting to get so now. The utter contempt in not even a one line tweet saying we have appointed a manager is frankly poor, at best. Especially considering what it’s followed. Im not sure what message it sends to the new manager, or indeed the players, that the club are afraid to admit he has been appointed after a public attempt at somebody else
The club usually like to announce any new arrival with a photo shoot and an interview on video. We've got a game in less than 24hrs, the new manager probably has a lot more important stuff to do than pose with a scarf and tells us what a great club this is (we know that), so it's probably that we'll just have to wait for the fluffy stuff. I'd rather he was working on a game plan for tomorrow.
me too. But a one line tweet or statement announcing it would be more than sufficient. do we need it? No. but does it show common courtesy to all involved? Yes. for a club desperate to show we do things the right way, we don’t half do things the wrong way
I’m going to throw something out there completely and utterly out of my own stupid mind and nothing I’ve read. What if after the last few days, KLD has thought **** it and walked away?
I remember when Keane laughed about celebrating promotion and said we should concentrate on football. TBH I've seen a dozen identical scarf holding bland announcements and can live without another.
Maybe it would be courteous but maybe they're waiting for an opportune moment to make a big announcement. I think people are jumping at shadows a lot at the moment.
